I just wish I knew more good places to eat in the city. But it seems most of them are fast food or other kind of eat-and-run cafes for office workers.

Eat-and-run
i would be the one doing the laughing buddy
make it to melb on thursday danny?
Danny, good to see you!
Looking forward to the cricket tonight, or are you more like me and wishing it were a more substantial affair than Twenty20?

i have no preference, and once im done at RMIT it will have plenty of time and prepared to haul arse to wherever i need to be in the city so you guys know it best , think of somewhere !
I am, but yeah I'm definitely more like you and I wish it were more substantial. Everyone reckons tests are dying, and that is sad, because it's the best form of the game by a mile. I really don't like Twenty20s that much.
ewww getaroom eww
Twenty20 can be fun to watch when you just want a bit of a bash, but it's hardly a display of technical or tactical excellence. I think the series against South Africa that just concluded proves that Tests still have a lot of life left in them, though. It was gripping, and it certainly had a strong public following.
I'm always busy weekends, but Friday is a definite possibility for something.
What, you wanna come?
My birthday's Saturday the 17th and the closest I've had to an idea of something to do is getting some folks from here around one day or evening to eat lots of bad food while watching the Red Rocks DVD.
Hey Ax, mebbe you can help me. There's this song they play on the radio all the time, I'm like 99.999999% sure it's Neil Finn singning. One of the lines is "no new year's resolution, it's more than that". I'm pretty sure it's not a Crowdies song, it must be Neil solo?
Three's company and it'd keep the purity plunging, I'm sure.
I think the best way to view a Twenty20 would be to be there tonight.
That series was awesome, and proves to the naysayers it's still got life left in it. You don't get the same gripping finishes, the same mammoth comebacks, the same courageous stories...

Your purity couldn't possibly plunge any farther.
Neither could ours.
Of course, I mean in two different ways.
Your birthday thread'll go off
You've beaten me all ends up here
The Duminy/Steyn partnership and Smith batting despite a broken fucking hand are the kinds of things people will remember for years.
Plus I think we just saw the end of one era and the start of another.
Except the rear.
I mean, who the HELL would want to beat yours?
