There's this song called Mercy and a whole bunch of people think it's a great song and should be officially released, others think it's highly overrated by this fan site, and most of everyone has an opinion on how it should be released, whether it should be released, if it should be re-done if it is released, whether it should be released if it is the original or if it is re-done, and, after each new material U2 releases, whether this will have any effect on the possible release of Mercy.

Can we add the infamous "Bono lip-synchs live on Miracle Drug" threads too?

On the Vertigo tour

U2 filmed their Chicago shows from the first leg and released them DVD in November 2005.
They filmed their second Dublin show but that is only for archival footage.
They filmed their two nights in Milan and released 10 songs from that concert with their greatest hits Album U218 Singles. (whether or not they will release more footage from this concert is unknown)
They filmed all of their 4th leg shows and plan to release a HD3D
movie, details about this are unknown.
They also filmed a show in Melbourne, reasons for filming this show are unknown

Actually, we do know that. They filmed both Melbourne shows to get additional footage for the 3D movie they were filming on the fourth leg. Reportedly, the camera crew were instructed not to film Larry or Bono higher than their shoulders as they have both changed their hairstyles since February/March.

It seems that every thread ends with "Popmart failed" "no, it's not true" "oh yeah, do you have figures to prove it ?".
So, if you could find a link with statistics about Popmart.... thank you.

Here's another one:

Hey, you guys, I'm thinking about getting a U2 tattoo!! Do you have a U2 tattoo?!?!?!

Bono is at a U2 concert in Ireland when he asks the audience for some quiet. Then in the silence, he starts to slowly clap his hands. Holding the audience in total silence, he says into the microphone..."Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies." A voice from near the front of the audience pierces the silence..."Fookin stop doing it then!"

we have all heard this joke before

I hadn't, but I have now, so I might start a thread about it.

did you know that U2 is opening a casino? Or that Larry went to join the Corrs and left U2?

If you are going to post questions, it's best to also supply answers and/or a link to a thread for discussion.

The Easter Egg thing comes up quite a bit and there's an active thread right now.
