DURAN DURAN 'LIVE FROM LONDON' CONCERT DVD IN HIGH DEFINITION TO BE
SCREENED AT MOVIE THEATERS IN TEN MAJOR CITIES ACROSS THE COUNTRY ON
NOVEMBER 1

On November 1, for only one night, Duran Duran will celebrate the
release
of their 'Duran Duran: Live From London' DVD with special high
definition
screenings of the concert portion of this exceptional set at 10 movie
theaters in major cities across the country. The concert was filmed in
London during the band's record-breaking 2004 UK reunion tour, that
included a run of five sold-out concerts at London's Wembley Arena.
'Live
From London' was produced by Coming Home Studios in Association with
SRS
Labs through Zoe Vision, a division of Rounder Records. The screenings
start at 8pm.

As an added bonus, only theatergoers will see an exclusive introduction
to
the concert by the five original members of Duran Duran: Simon LeBon -
vocals, John Taylor - bass, Andy Taylor - guitars, Roger Taylor - drums
and
Nick Rhodes - keyboards - that was made especially for these
screenings.
Each band member will talk about the experience of making the film and
share their thoughts on the tour - their first back together with the
original line-up. After the concert there will be a one time exclusive
HD
presentation of "I Don't Want Your Love" in a surreal pop-up book 3-D
version with glasses provided at the theaters.

The screenings will take place at theaters in New York, Los Angeles,
Chicago, San Francisco, Washington, DC, Detroit, San Diego, Seattle,
Phoenix and Boston with limited seating for $10. Tickets are available

I still have all my Duran Duran vinyl albums and scrapbooks full of magazine articles!!! Oh if only I had a scanner, the lovely photos I could post here!?! :( And the only two performances of Live8 that I really enjoyed where....yes, U2 and Duran Duran!:D Brilliant thread!

Awwww!!!!

Someday I'll learn to post pic's....I met the guys last March. I won a contest for the most memoribilla on some radio station and got to go to a private per-show accoustic set with Simon and Andy, backstage pre-show with all of the guys & special side-stage seats.

Needless to say it was great. I love Simon too, but I was especially stoked to meet my little Roger  .

Now if I can only parlay my Durannnie luck into meeting U2 luck......

Shut up!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would love to meet Simon.

Uhm... because I really want to see your pictures from this, I'll try to help you with posting?

I'm not on my home computer now.....

My friend (who is also an Interferencer) is going to show me on Sat. I'll post soon!!!

It was cool meeting Simon, he's pretty funny, but alittle aloof. I'd like to meet U2--just to see how they would compare as 'stars'...

Bono is VERY down to Earth. Total honesty, he is one of the nicest people I've ever met. If you didn't know it, it wouldn't dawn on you that he's a rockstar of the calibur that he is. He's very humble and appreciative of his fans.

He joked around with my mom on the phone, but he was kind of serious with me.
