Does the "I Am" in ABoY refer to the only proper Biblical name for God Him/Herself?
Maybe I just don't have a gift for grasping the obvious, but I always thought that the "I am" in All Because of You simply meant All Because of You, I am (I exist).
However, a few days ago a friend of mine (who happens to be much more religious than me) told me he thought that the song had an obvious and wonderful double meaning. He thought that while the "I am" could simply mean "I exist", it also referred to the only referenced name for God in the Bible. That is, when Moses stood before the burning bush and asked God "whom shall I say sent me", God responded simply, "I Am" or "I Am who Am" (depending on your Bible).
In other words, "All Because of You, I Am" or "All Because of You, God". What do you think? I like this interpretation a lot.
