Saw The Man On The Train last night... interesting.

Also had some freaking amazing home-made chocolate mousse... and no, it wasn't me that made it.

I have 9 people on my list to shop for this year. No idea what to get anybody. I think this is going to be a gift-card year.

Firefox and I have broken up after it froze for ten minutes for no goddamn good reason. Trying things with Opera now, cause Chrome is too simplistic and Safari blows and freezes more than Firefox does, at least on my PC. Plus, Opera sounds classy. /dork

ax what was the name of the Joy Formidable track from your DI list? i remember really digging it, and i'm listening to Whirring now as I go thru p4k's list (they've included some godawful remix with Britney Spears, Kesha and Nicki Minaj - FUCKING GOODBYE CREDIBILITY)

Cradle? I think it was Cradle. Yep, definitely was. worth getting the album that was from? or the one they released this year?

olololo you thought Pitchfork had credibility.

Reggo thank you so much for the lovely gesture :) if there's something I could do in return let me know!

You're welcome! I don't expect anything in return at all, I just wish the JB website had worked. Happy Christmas!

Two songs into the Jezabels record. I was hesitant to listen to it since all the j fags fell in love with it, but it's really, really good. So far. Definitely buying it tomorrow if this keeps up.

You all just wish I'd had Intarwebz access last night.

Soooo hungover. (Northcote.)

It's the holidays and I can't even shake the nervousness of going into year 12, welcome to my life.

A friend of mine, who used to be one of the funniest, fun people I knew, let the pressure of yr 12 get to him, and now he is a hermit with severe social & anxiety issues.

Don't you dare do anything so stupid as to let it get to you that much. It's not that important.

You're smart. I am too (as much as my posts would say otherwise). I got 86 without putting in a great deal of effort. I still had plenty of fun that year, socialising etc. I wouldn't change that for a second. In fact if I went back I work less... I only needed like 65.

Just saying enjoy the year, and extend your gaze beyond that results day in December.

What are you looking to get into & what score?

An Architecture course at Uni SA and at least an ATAR of 85.55. Having said that, I'll try to aim for the maximum.

Don't stress it, Vlad. Soon as you have a university degree, employers don't even care what you did in high school.

Axver, check your PMs.

No, seriously, check your PMs.

Yes Vlad, my Enter score was like 35, I couldn't even get into clown college if I wanted too  I'm doing Civil Engineering now, and yeah I don't love it, but I'm earning more money than one of my mates who went to uni for 4 years and now doing basically the same job.

I had the most fun out of all my year levels in year 12. You are a hell of a lot smarter than me, so you have nothing to worry about mate!

I had so much fun in Year 12. Of course, I think senior year in the US is wildly different than Year 12 in Australia. See, we got all our college stuff sorted in junior year/11, so 12 was the year to take all easy classes for easy grades and coast and have fun.

Not sure why you like trams so much ax. I'm on the 96 right now to St Duthie and it's loud as fuck (srsly, can't hear my music) and absolutely packed.

Yeah, this. You know something? I can't even remember what I got at the end of the year (years of moonshine abuse has ensured this), I just knew it was good enough to study theology in Flinders Uni, which I declined at the time. Granted, I'm now aiming to work in a field that is immensely difficult to make a profit in and I'll almost certainly be in debt for my whole life, but hey, that's my choice.

Alright, I kinda went on a tangent there but really, year 12 wasn't that hard. You're a very smart guy, Vlad, smarter than most people your age I've met and known. You're also very focused about what you want to do, which puts you leagues ahead of a lot of kids, kids like me who still weren't sure what they wanted to do with their lives when they were 17. Year 12 isn't a challenge throughout, there are plenty of breathing spaces, in fact I honestly found the year to be overall more fun than stressful. While I'm not saying you shouldn't try hard, of course, don't let it destroy you. I have a similar story to Cobbler - I knew a guy who used to be fun, friendly and just an all round good guy. After an intense year 12, in which he got the highest score ever achieved at my school (something like 99.999999993 or some shit), he turned into a preachy fundamentalist creationist Christian. This is my warning.

Hah, thanks for the advice. I'll try my best not to kill myself next year!
