I really, really, really hope that they're going to play ES again, eventually. It's been so long that I'm sort of afraid that either they weren't happy with it, or that the crowd reaction wasn't strong enough.

I hope they do, too. It's such a lovely tune.

Yeah, I'm afraid of that too :(

and that would be a shame. :|

is this a record low for setlist party posts?

-dan

:hmm: maybe someone could text Ax.

Quick notes as I leave Amsterdam Arena:

No "space chat." It was a five second pre-recorded clip of the astronauts holding "the future needs a big kiss" up in paper. Surprised was ruined when the image appeared during Snow Patrol's set!!

"How long?" was snippeted at the very end of 40, and it didn't catch on. In my opinion, not a good encore set at all, but ill let it sink in and write a full show review later!

:hyper::hyper:

wooooot!!
btw whrere did you adorable/funny avi come from!

*wants tghe stuffed ? dino/alligator with Geeee-tar!!!*

Its Domo-kun! Its the mascot of a japanese radio station , but its kinda famous outside of japan. Hence its where I got my name from.
Its uber cute and I originally gave it a beanie but he's too squared to make it look good so I sticked with only photoshopping the explorer in.

vertpomme, don't forget the 40 snippet during MOS
Who would've guessed that the biggest surprise of the night (which admittedly wasn't a huge one) would come during MOS?

vertpomme, one other thing: you spelled Ultra Violet wrong :p

thanks for the quick update

About 18 moths ago, (he's an Arsenal supporter) and as i was leavibg the ground , i literally bumped into him :reject:

He smiled and apologised although i was at faut

No i wouldn't do him

Aw, how sweet of him! :) I'd love to meet Pete, though.

At the top of my "aging rock stars you would do" list would have to be Gilmour, though. I love/lust that man.

:(

Lol, no, I was just distracted.

Cool! How long ago? I think he hasn't aged that well. :reject:

oh, no- I didn't say you confused them,
but some people have  at that time-- when talking about them......... like refering to them in pics where the other band members weren't photographed so obviously that-
you knew who they were!

am I making sense? :D

hmmmmm, oh, not so bad i think......

40 is nice, but it requires a really enthusiastic audience. Some of the Vertigo shows I was at didn't exactly have stellar audience participation on 40, so it was underwhelming. (Even some of the hardcore fans were probably ready to rush outside to line up for the next day's show.)

Sadly you're right. I still love 40 though.
