    Hip-Hop Talk II

my frustration wasn't aimed at you at all. this is a discussion we've had a few times in here and LM and cobbler both know very well where I stand. I could honestly talk all day about language and rap and the issues I have with describing marginalized voices as "intelligent" vs "ignant." I...

well aware of what he likes. I'm sick of seeing east coast this and that when there's plenty of rap from elsewhere that's not (again I fucking hate this phrase too because it's classist as fuck) "ignant shit."

wow these suggestions are so ny biased... west coast: regardless of how you feel about "Compton-style," it's inexcusable to not listen to NWA, Snoop's Doggystyle, and just about anything DJ Quik has done. not saying you have to like it, but the west coast has been so influential that it's a...

Random Music Talk XCVI - Counting Down Cobbler's Return to America

:D soooo I've known Wayne Coyne is a scumbag for awhile, but wow if he fired Kliph (their longtime drummer) because Kliph expressed his problems with a little white girl appropriating headdresses...just wow. http://gawker.com/how-the-flaming-lips-lost-a-drummer-over-native-america-1570423161

Random Music Talk XCVI - Counting Down Cobbler's Return to America

she should keep her mouth shut about what other women do because she sounds foolish as hell. as cori already said, even taken out of context, using the word slut to describe beyonce's sex with her own fucking husband is just absurd. or you know, using slut AT ALL to denigrate a woman's...

it shouldn't be too bad as long as the drive will be plugged in all the time. I wish I had a screen sharing program so I could do the transfer and setup with you...I'll do some research today and see what I can find. as for the cord, you can buy separate FireWire cords for hard drives (assuming...

not sure if you guys know this or not, but it's not like they brought future out for the fuck of it...future's cousin is rico wade from dungeon family and future ran with them making music back in the early 2000s. I totally get that it was outkast's show and future's part might have sucked...

3000's verse on "benz friendz" is pretty solid for a dude who doesn't straight rhyme much anymore. I was expecting that he'd only put in a chorus, but he did the hook, a verse, and the bridge. good shit.

Random Movie Talk, Louis the XIVth Edition

I went for Bloodsport tonight instead of a Schwarzenegger movie. Not too bad. Forest Whitaker being in it was a nice surprise, as well as Ogre from Revenge of the Nerds haha. Also, Jean Claude had a very nice bum, just saying.
