Perhaps lack of time to change that segment played a part. Putting the European leg in perspective the idea of changing the set popped up somewhere after deciding to reschedule the Berlin show and record that one. Throughout September they'd been playing and rehearsing the new segment in parts...
The idea of filming Berlin and not wanting the same stuff as in the Paris dvd referred to the block of Innocence songs before the break. I think the band did a great job replacing that segment over the last few weeks of the tour.
Personally I thought it a bit disappointing to get that Innocence...
I was there last night. It was a surreal experience. Standing at the E-stage I was too far off to see the band up close, so I thought of technical problems with the microphone. After 10 seconds I realised it was worse. Crowd was great taking over. Hopefully B-man is fine and he doesn't suffer...
 Thank you! I had a mighty good time. I got my wristband around noon and went back in line after lunch. Very happy and content with security policy. It was nice that people with wristbands were let in the stadium early. I secured a good spot on Adam's side.
Also great to actually meet...
Off to Chicago, see you all on Saturday
Hi folks,
This Dutch guy is currently packing his suitcase. Off to Chicago tomorrow for a Citytrip and catching U2 at Soldier Field this Saturday.
:hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper:
See you all in the GA line
Hi folks,
This guy from Holland will attend the first night in Chicago as well! I've just booked my flights. An American friend of mine saved a GA for me.
Looking forward to seeing you guys..

2017 for the next leg makes total sense; U2 kind of anticipated with u2.com subscriptions. All folks who subscribed (read: took extra subscriptions) at the end of 2015 or early 2016 were granted with an expiration date of 31 January 2017.
3 shows so far and Bad/40 combo twice. Lucky me. Didn't expect this for Cologne 2.
Liked the venue and the atmosphere in Cologne. Some other side benefits as well; a parking ticket for only E5,50 and a short walk into town for good food. Got in at 5:45 pm and still managed to get front row spot...
Agree, it was my 25 in Cologne, having experienced loads of shows in Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Arnhem, Antwerp and single shows in Prague, Brussels, Hannover, London, Slane Castle and Vancouver. Cologne 2 was a special one.
I was in GA, Adam's side at Cologne 2. Great sound, not any different from Vancouver and Amsterdam. Liked The GA area in Cologne and Vancouver better than in Amsterdam. I felt like a fish in a tin can in Amsterdam, hardly any space to move and a lot of pushing. None of that in Vancouver and Cologne.
Okay, I've got two paid subsriptions to u2.com. One longtime subscription and one I took last year.
I've received a presale code for my longtime subscription, but not for the other one.
I consider it a generous gesture from U2 and I'm trying to fetch two Ga's later on.
.... I think there are a few slots in the show where they change a few bits here and there, without screwing up the Innocence and Experience theme with all the visuals in the show. They could change a few things in the first four uptempo opening slots, the slots after Invisible at the E-stage...
.....length of the show is about 2:15/2:20.... ...longest U2 show I ever saw was 26 songs at Amsterdam 3, Vertigo Tour. That show lasted almost 2:30...
I remember Willie Williams stating in one his tour diaries that 2:20 is the maximum for a U2 show, building up a show from scratch to climax...
HI folks,
Landed back in Amsterdam from Vancouver last night, enjoyed a good night of sleep and here I am, back on earth reflecting on Opening Night, mij 23rd show in 30 years of being U2 fan.
A lot has been said about this tour, but I experienced it as the most complete U2 live experience so...
Show will go on.
With all respect, Mr Mullen sr. was at the respectable age of 92. Whenpeople pass away at that age it is never totally unexpected. My educated guess is that Larry will fly back to Dublin after the Vancouver shows.
Interesting discussion about GA Lines these days. I think the entire arena floor is Gold, Diamond in Platinum in one. If I would take a spot half way the arena floor on a hockey floor I would never be more than 10 meters away from the big screen and never be more than 25-30 metres away from both...
....I guess we're missing the encore here, possibly 3-4 songs wrapping it up to a respectable U2 live set. I think there are a maximum of 5 slots in the second part of the show that can change and that will be about it...
