Hey, i'm taking my 9 year old to the Vancouver show also (section 228 or something). I took him to Radiohead show at Thunderbird Stadium last August. He loved it (even though it stormed majorly).

Man, i only meant to buy 4 tickets for Vancouver, but ended up with 6. Not sure how i did that. (Overly excited, i suppose.) Section 229, Row HH. It's one of the ones behind the stage. Is the view going to be obstructed by stacks of amps and the sound system? I can't tell from the U2.com...

No, the NLOTH review was done by Ryan Dombal (or something). The interviewer is Mark Richardson...the only album review he's listed of doing of U2's stuff is the U2 Singles release (he gave it a 7). This Pitchfork interview was one of the strangest i've ever seen. I think, like everyone else...

One of the best U2 songs ever. So many great moments. The solo. The lyrics. The way Bono sings the main parts keeps me coming back again and agin. My fav song on the album. This song has all the best attributes (too many to name) of U2 in one song. The only thing that could've made it even better was if they had included that little guitar (keyboard?) bridge from the beach version right before Edge's long solo.

Is the album version of Breathe a lot different from the beach clip version? (Sorry, haven't received mine yet...but i will from the other thread.)

I won't go into track by track, but i am curious about Breathe. The 30-sec version sounds different from the beach clip for sure...Bono going into that first chorus. I think i prefer the beach-clip version, but it's hard to tell, as the 30-sec clip ends just when it seems it was about to take...

Haven't heard much about Larry's drumming (other than "are those electric drums on GOYB?") from the reviewers. Walt, can you generalize Larry's contribution? Like, does Larry sound...inspired? Are his drum patterns just as diverse as the songs (and Bono and Edge) sound? etc., etc.

For me, Videotape is the song of the decade. And this is the best album by Radiohead so far...a huuuge accomplishment.
