Man, I couldn't disagree with that more. U2 is at their best when they're experimenting outside of their comfort zone . Whether that was country in the late 80s, dance and electronica in the early 90s or middle eastern sounds in the 2000s.

It's a live remix. But I truly hope the song they deliver to radio is as close to this as possible. U2 wants to remain relevant they need to take more chances. Hoping that the album or single version is not a poppy, watered down version of this. Love love love the clubby, chopped vocal half way...

On 2nd view, the lyrics are clearly visible on the screen. He says "the best thing that ever happened to boy." You can use it like that. It's hooky. "Boy" could be seen as a grammatical equivalent to "man." Or is it a reference to their first album? Oooh!!!

Except I think he leaves out the article for boy. He says "The best thing that ever happened to boy." Which is a pretty nice hook.
