And thats why this line up away from the venue crap is BS. People who aren't "in the know" get screwed, and even people who are in the know still can't find where the list is

... it's only fair to let those folks in first that arrived before you did. This has been the standard for the past three tours.

It's only fair to let the folks that know about the secret line in before you!

The standard is shady, yo.

If it's a legit list they should be visible!!!! I'll go again.

I'm sure there's no more than 1 or 2 folks there, so look hard. They might be disguised as homeless folks too to try and keep the numbers down until their friends arrive from Canada.

I'll show up tomorrow morning, get my wristband, and still get rail. Ain't nobody got time for stupid check-ins.

Besides, I already started my own list at one of the many Dunkin Donuts locations in my town. But I'm not telling you which town or which Dunkies I'm at. Gotta keep it a secret!

I wouldn't think so poorly of these sekrit lists if they would put up a sign or something that said "find the GA line on xx street or something."

I've seen pictures from a few previous cities where someone had helpfully posted a sign at/near the venue so people would know where to go. Or at least have a helper or two hanging out near the venue to watch for people looking lost.

Please note:

I am NOT IN BOSTON OR PART OF ANY LIST! I am not in touch with the people running the list either! I simply re-posted something that another person (Nate Roberts) posted in a Facebook group. PLEASE DON'T SEND ME PMs-- I have NO idea where the line is OR how to get your name on it!

I'm sorry for upsetting people-- Honestly was just trying to pass along info that someone ELSE posted in a FB Group, so that Boston peeps are aware of what is SUPPOSEDLY going on at the Garden.

I'm going to stay away from this discussion now-- Again, I am NOT IN BOSTON OR PART OF RUNNING ANY "SECRET" LIST.

Thanks-- have fun at the shows!

D'oh! Look what you've done, Chizip!

This guy Nate was the person who posted the pic I saw on Twitter. I tried pinging him to see if he could help earlier, but no response. (Granted, he just may not be on Twitter every 10 minutes today, but my suspicion is that the list-runners are just not making any effort to help people find the line.)

I don't know if it's secret-- but the info was only posted there today so I'm passing it along for everyone here.

I firmly believe that "secret" lists are shady-- I don't know why whoever posted in the FB group did not also post here and other websites. So I'm doing it instead, in the effort to help others who are not in on the secret (honestly....).

Again, I'm not in Boston, don't care if the list falls apart or not. Just spreading info to try to inform all fans of what's supposedly going on. :)

I have passed info along too for other shows I have not gone to. Community service I suppose. I would want people to share the information with me if I was looking for the information.

Thanks for understanding. "Community service" is a good way of putting it.

I understood what you were saying right away, but I am not invested in this other than morbid curiosity. People that are trying to find the "line" get anxious and reading comprehension is the first thing that goes out the window. I have been there too.

Oh totally! Why is it that GA brings out the crazy in so many people -- including me!?! The things we do for this band...:lol:

And sorry to everyone for getting a little out of control with the CAPS LOCK in my earlier post-- GA crazy strikes again.:wave:

That seems like a lot, lot of people. Don't you think the info about where to sign up should have been a lot easier to find?!? Crazy.

Ha they are really under a bridge... BTW what's the point of "checking in"?

I am in Detroit, so they can come at me bro. ?

With this new "system" I should clarify I am in Detroit AND not going to the shows. Wouldn't be the first time someone is in "line" from several states away.

Make sure to check in on your app. But you have to wait until 24 hours before boarding, Southwest style.

Detroit - cool, I was just out there a couple weeks ago.

I've been going to concerts for 30 years or so now, and I've never seen such insanity as this, anywhere. Lineups, lists, secret locations, total insanity. I can't wait to see what these people have in store for the NYC shows. I can tell you that I won't be out there baking on some sidewalk for 2 days so I can be on the rail - more likely I'll be in some pub enjoying a cold drink and relaxing.

It was nutty ten years ago, and I cannot claim to not have participated in the nuttiness. But back then, the nuttiness was show up the night before, maybe around 10:00, 11:00 pm. Put your name on the list. Get your number. Set your tent up. Say hi to people around you. Try to get some sleep and then hurry up and wait the next day for the doors to open. None of this get on a list (if you can find it) DAYS before and check in every once in a while.

And glad you enjoyed our city. It is still a bit behind the times but making giant strides so very quickly. I have been working downtown for 5 years now and the changes I have seen in that time are outstanding. All hail our overlord Dan Gilbert and the hipsters of America.
