Depending on how it is filmed and what footage from the movie is going to be shown in the video it's possibly they could just slap something together.

And lets not rule out CGI! Maybe they will CGI Mandela walking out of the ocean across the beach to the ice cream truck.

I was bleeding when I wrote this

but make no mistake, bleeding is part of living, and those motherfuckers over there laying face down in shit, they fucked with me, they don't bleed no goddamned more!

AMAAW sounds like something off ATYCLB; U2 does pop - like OOTS.

LAPOE - Zooropa era U2 in the intro, and that riff is something Edge might have thought up in the 90's.

I was thinking of the genre references. Of course there are sonic similarities because it's U2, but I thought the most prominent feature of AMAAW was a 70's R&B, almost disco feeling that they had never touched before.

Are you serious? Disco? R&B?

Man and woman is pure solo Sting. Something made to housewives listen while scrubbing dishes.

Wow I missed this, good find

I hope it's true and not just pre-album Bono speak.

Yea that's the worry. And to be honest it does seem like Bonospeak. (I love whoever came up with that btw; makes Bono sound like an Orwellian villain )

I hope this true...but is it just me, but didn't Bono say just about
the same thing about another new album?

Bomb. What was most disturbing was how All Because of You supposedly epitomized (in the band's - or more specifically, Bono's - eyes) their return to that sound. A throwback punk rock song, a la The Electric Co. Which is just sad, because The Electric Co. is one of the best songs they ever wrote, and All Because of You is one of the worst :|

Jesus Christ on toast, you wander into a thread here and there perhaps mentioning peripherally in passing that you may find one or two members of the band marginally attractive and all of a sudden you've got a reputation...

I caught that too. Either it was Bono fucking around with the person or they were actually doing something R&H related......which still just doesn't add up, imo.

yea I mean... It makes zero sense. And if it ends up that they are doing it just to further hype a Christmas cash grab instead of finishing the new album? Well... that would be terrible

But I thought it was confirmed in at least one article that they played a few impromptu songs for passers by/watchers? That's what I love about internet sites who can just reprint anything and pass it off as news without even checking it. Like the "10 reasons to exist" quote that had now become the working title of the album.

If there was to be a Rattle and Hum reissue, why would it be late? There's no way they'd be that sloppy unless a new album was derailed unexpectedly and pushed back to an unknown date.

It's been a bit more low key than in recent times (which can only be a good thing) but all the signs are there that the machine is being cranked up and we'll have some new music and release dates soon.

I guess if I was being very pessimistic and making wild leaps of guesswork based on the location of the shoot, the lead single ain't going to be a Discotheque or The Fly....

they are really fucking with us..... :hmm:

 Totes. I would actually get excited at the prospect of an R&H reissue (fucking love that album), so I'd buy the uber super duper deluxe boxset in a heartbeat. But assuming for a second that's what they're actually doing, where the feck does this leave the new album? Surely they're not going to engage in some moderately intense promo campaign for R&H, then embark on the prolonged new album campaign just a month or two later? The media feeds will get over saturated with their ugly mugs.
