It was up on the U2.com site, at least while voting was going on, the whole list was there. It was everything they played on 360. Although the new songs might not have been there, which makes me think they're at least considering keeping them around for an album. I think Return of the Stingray Guitar was the only new one on the list. I think.

I've talked about Chairlift here and there. And their new album is good!

So I see that LCD Soundsystem documentary "Shut Up and Play the Hits" is premiering at Sundance next week.

I have some hook ups getting Sundance tickets, so there's a chance I'll get to see it

I wonder if James Murphy will be at the premiere like U2 was for the premiere of U23D in 2008?

One of my friends is trying to get tickets for us as well. I'll be the guy screaming, "U2inUtah, where are you?!" out as loud as I can during the showing.

Hahaha One Tree Hill made it based off of a handful of performances and In A Little While didn't even come close.

I hope this doesn't ruin the song for anyone else, but in Bedouin Dress by Fleet Foxes, when it gets to the line

In the street one day I saw you among the crowd
In a geometric pattern dressed

I can't help but anticipate the second line starting with "In a Geo Metro...."

Very distracting

Can't watch that vid in Aus, JT.

I had some very weird dreams last night. The first involved awesome people from leadership camp, but I got distracted from what I was doing because I had to go and prevent my old scout teacher, who I haven't spoken to or thought about in years, from committing suicide. Successful, he suggested we go to the church. I was there with a bloke from leadership camp, and we high-tailed out of there as quickly as possible. Then we were at a festival, and all my other mates were there too. Los Campesinos! played, but only a couple of songs, and I was talking to a friend of mine about how they're from Wales, and the lead singer sings about how he gets roots all the time despite how ugly he is. The two female members of the group were grinding against each other as they played By Your Hand.

They left the stage, and I went to walk off, but then khan said to me, "do you want to hear The Fox and the Hound?" so I raced back to the stage and then Destroyer came on. The crowd shrunk considerably. They opened with It's Gonna Take an Aeroplane, which was pretty great, and I was surprised, because my mates were receptive to it. One of my mates told me that one of my other mates had been in a fight, and copped a few hits, but I wanted to stay and watch Destroyer. Dan Bejar kept looking at me, knowing I was a big fan, and he waved the setlist in front of my face but I looked away. But it got really frustrating because he would only play 20 second snippets of songs before doing weird shit, like going back stage and getting a bunch of maracas to give out to people in the crowd. I asked the 30 or 40 or so who wanted one, and about 15 or so said yes, but most were disinterested. I got a call from one of the blokes with my mate who had been hit, but I ignored it, wanting to see the rest of Destroyer.

Then I woke up.

I thought I dreamt about Twitter last night, but it turned out I actually just woke up and checked my phone at 5:30 in the morning before going back to sleep.

I've (legally) downloaded 3 tracks from Charli XCX: Nuclear Seasons, Stay Away, and End of the World. Pretty good stuff.

I'm also digging the new Miike Snow track.

 I haven't heard End of the World yet. I'll have to check that out.

LM, you are in a journalism program, right? Is there some sort of federal law requiring anyone who writes about early R.E.M. to use the words "jangly" and "muttering"?

Scums, UiU, reggo: Aziz Ansari: SALT LAKE CITY PPL: I'm doing three shows at Wiseguys this Sunday to work on new jokes. Tickets here: bit.ly/AyvoRE

I think it would be refreshing if anyone wrote about REM here in any capacity, but yes, that is an example of rather unimaginative writing.

Especially since the production of those early albums is so haunting and evocative and never receives the attention it deserves.

 I need to hear that. I LOVE their (his?) album!

Bridge is still closed. I'm at the bar at Maxwell's. Best burger in Tacoma.

UGH. I'm so sorry. That must be messing up stuff so bad down there.

Roads are fine here. Have never been so happy to go to work. Hardly anyone was there, since the schools are still closed and people living out of the city are still either snowed in or without power.

Now it's all a disgusting, sloppy mess, but thank goodness it's warming up and melting, even if it means a week of rain and wind, or whatever the new storm is supposed to bring.

it's further proof that no, no one wanted to hear that piece of shit song. disappointed there's not more nloth songs on there, though. but what do i care, i'm not a subscriber anyway. it is kinda lame though that these fans would rather have the 15th version of one live, rather than something we don't have, like nloth or breathe.
