 It was pretty funny in line, too. It was pretty chill while we were just sitting around, but once we were told to put our stuff away and the line started moving, anyone who was seen as cutting in line, even the One/Amnesty International volunteers were met with an insane about of animosity. I was behind five middle-aged dudes and they defended their place in line militaristically.

Not a single impression? There would be impressions if you were real fans.

:tsk:

I heard that band mentioned the other week and didn't know who it was, so this is the first time I'm hearing anything by them. I like the song as well.

Seriously. Did you see the public humiliation of the one line jumper dude who was then boo'ed away by a cheering crowd? At first I was like yeah, get rid of that guy, but then it turned creepy and frightening. This happened somewhere in the first 50 or so.

Note to GA fan parents: your young kids' needs are more important than your rail spot.

The Deputy better eat up before tonight's shootout.

By the way, though I love High Violet front to back, the album, for me, really starts to take off when it gets to that song.

Well, I just got home from last night's show. I had an absolute blast. It really restored my faith in the band; I enjoyed every single song live. We ended up walking to The Whiskey Bar after the show and catching a cab sometime after 1:00. I crashed at my friend's place in Redmond.

There was a crazy fifty-something Dutch couple right behind us, dancing wildly, bumping into people, drumming on my back, boosting themselves on my shoulders to pogo. I know they were annoying a lot of people, but I had just enough beer in me to find them entertaining. They even gave me and my friend big hugs during MOS.

I never did manage to hook up with any Interferencers. Hopefully next tour...

Just realized it says "All Songs by Jonatham [sic] Meiburg" on my Golden Archipelago LP jacket. Kind of a big typo there.

Are you in Ohio?

I'd rather die.

No slight against Ohio itself or anything. My mom's side of the family lives outside Akron and, uh, I'm not a big fan of them, so that colors my perception.

Joyful, you were at SLC? I wish I'd known, I'd have come to say Hi or something.

I missed that, I was back in the 250-300 range.

^^ This.

And I also spent some time working in Columbus. God, that was awful.

I don't like the midwest at all, to be honest. Spent my first 20 years there and only return for funerals and weddings if I can't avoid them.

I like Chicago and Pittsburgh. I've also been to South Bend, Akron, and Cleveland and was not as big a fan of those areas.

I really like Pittsburgh, but, I'm probably biased.

I only lived in the Midwest for 2.5 years or so, but, it simply was not my cup of tea. Nothing against it, and I'd never tell people to never move there, but, for me, not a good fit at all.

Chicago has a lot to like, great city to visit and live in. I just didn't take to it.

Oh, and, yes, there are some gorgeous areas outside of Cleveland, but Cleveland itself.....eeeeee. Sorry to anyone that loves Cleveland.

Our day long assault on the state of Ohio has culminated in a four game sweep of the Indians too. We are assholes.

I enjoyed my time in Cleveland well enough, and am a general fan of Ohio.

Peef, what didn't you like about South Bend? The roads are terrible, but it's a decent city.
