Hey everyone despite the fact their most recent hit is one of bitchiest, crappiest tunes of the past millennia, Train are actually really tough and hard and have sex with groupies and do drugs:

I guarantee you that would have been the worst 2 minutes of that girl's life.

Shouter any interesting shows in Chi-Town tomorrow?

Not much. Mondays are usually really slow. But I think that the Dark Fog (scorching, yowling psych)/White Mystery (boring but proficient garage band) show at the Empty Bottle is free.

Ah, thanks. i figured as much when I was looking through...Eventful, is that the site?

Anyways, I think if we see anything, we're just going to go to Robyn.

I went away for the weekend. I came back yesterday and now my roommate has ignored me for 24 hours. I'm not sure what it is. It could be that he has an exam today that he's nervous about. Or maybe he's not feeling well. Or it could be that text I sent him on Saturday that said he was a fucking asshole.

I'm thinking it's the exam.

My boss was just talking about how she couldn't find her knife that she has somewhere on her desk, that she uses at lunch.

She said, "I hope nobody stole it and is now running around committing crimes with it."

I almost yelled "KNIFE CRIME!" but restrained myself.

once, when i was playing scrabble, the first six letters i pulled out of the bag were, in order, E, E, N, G, A, F.

i was fucking floored. i didn't know whether to laugh or cry because to 99.999999999999999% of the world's population that means fuck all, but to maybe 50 or so people it's something.

Oh, snap. Good call. I forgot that it was rescheduled. There you go! I have no idea what Eventful is, though. I just check Acid Marshmallow and Victim of Time. If I'm going to care, one of those two'll generally list it. But, yeah. Robyn. Obviously. Hope it's a good time/know it'll be a good time.

I don't know what a fortnight is.

Or a score, as in Abraham Lincoln stuff.

Or also, in more modern timey lingo, I hate it when people say "it's half eight." Does that mean it's half an hour before 8, or half an hour after? Is it 7:30 or 8:30? Just tell me what time it is!

Eventful seems to be a site that catalogs events. I just google searched and it popped up.

Unfortunately, the show was definitely sold out, which was fine, because I was going to pick up Tix off of Stubhub or something, but then I found out that fucking Chase screwed me over and held my money over an extra day, so thank God we had enough cash on us to get home. I was even more pissed off when Cori gave me the heads up that there was a ticket drop.

This is twice now I've missed a chance to see Robyn :(.

Sorry you had to wait so long for an answer to this.

Thank you, dear.

I'm sure I've been told that information in the past and promptly forgotten it, because like Excel formulas, that shit falls out of your brain if you're not using the information every five minutes.

In music talk that is random, I'm really looking forward to the new Adele album. I like Rolling in the Deep a lot, and I've heard nothing but raves about the album.

I'm a mild fan of her first album - a few decent songs, but overall a little dull. Love her voice, though.

sadly, i do (14 days, ftr) because i've heard it been said waaaaay too much. it's hilarious too when people say like "nearly a fortnight" or some shit - if it's not exact, just say 10 days or whatever.

i can't remember score either, i had to look it up and it's 20 years. i knew it was a bigger number. iirc the four score bit referred to umm...something about the american revolution.

god i know, half eight drives me nuts too, like you i can never remember which one it's supposed to be. i used to have it down pat when i took german as that's how they do thangs there too but i've forgotten, since i don't frequently encounter people who only speak german at half past (seriously guys, just say half past instead) asking me what time it was.

and now i see laz has beaten me to this but damnit i'm not wasting this post.

oh god, not adele. when i first heard rolling in the deep i liked it, really i did. but now i hear it about three times a day, which says a lot since i only watch videos a max of eight hours a day and never listen to the radio.

I can't remember the last time I watched videos. Do you watch them online? Or on one of the multiple MTV channels around these days?

I know Palladia has "HD Video Hour" during the wee hours - I keep meaning to DVR some of the airings to see if they show anything worth watching.
