Awwww, Wally! :cute: He has an antique Hall Red Poppy cup.

My sister Bink's cat Tommy (a tux) drinks from a depression glass cup. :D

Congratulations !!

I guess you got yourself a new Cat

If you haven't already done so, you might want to take him to the Vet and get him fully checked out if you're you're going to be adopting him into your family.

Cari which cat had some problems recently? How is he/she doing?

Luigi had the problems. he's completed his course of antibiotics but the problem still persists; the mouth ulcers haven't gone down and he's still all itchy with dry patches on his back, leg and tail. he needs another trip to the vet. hopefully another round of steroids because she tried to explain a more aggressive treatment but she said it could affect his heart. :( need to steer clear of that course of treatment!

Poor Luigi :( Is it Stomatitis? A friend of mine on the cat forum I'm on has a cat that's had this problem for years. It comes and goes I think though with treatment. Does he act normal or does he act like he's irritated? Poor guy I hope you guys can get it cleared up.

Shh, don't let anyone know, I think this one puts me over the limit for Crazy Cat Lady!

He's gotten SO big in just the past week! My other cat Jasper has finally started playing with him, which is pretty funny because Jasper is terrified of people/cats/air/life.

We'll be off to the vet for the whole kitty routine after I make my car payment! (Stupid cars, requiring payment!)

saw this on FB today from one of my high school acquaintances: "sad day...gave up our two cats..." Ugh. I HATE seeing that. He and his wife just had a baby a year ago. I think they had the cats for a good 2-3 years prior to her birth and from the pics of the cats, they looked like they are siblings. :grumpy: I'm more sensitive about this stuff than ever; Wesley has become way too important in my life to ever think about him not being with me. I just can't imagine giving him up because something else came along. Lots of people have kids and cats at the same time. I know people that have adopted puppies at the same time their kids are born and everyone lives happily ever after together. Make it work....

This I can totally relate to right now. We are going through this adjustment period. Our daughter was born just about 10 weeks ago. This is a first baby for my wife and I so its a big learning process as far as that goes. Having Keto adjust to a new family member has also been a huge challenge.

We have had a couple of instances in the past where Keto has not reacted well to kids, especialy with toddlers up to 5 year olds. He ended up attacking a couple of kids who had come to our house. He just does not like noisy little humans who run around a lot.

Even now he reacts very quickly to the baby's crying. Whenever the baby cries, he comes running no matter where he is in the house and he tries to get as close to her as possible. Its kind of cute in a way that he's so concerned about the baby and is genuinley showing his affecion whenever he thinks she's in pain.

But this also backfired a couple of weeks ago when the baby had to get her vaccination shots and naturally afterwards she was cranky and sore and she was really crying pretty harshly for a while. Keto thought that my wife and her mom were actually doing something to the baby and he started attacking the two of them. My wife had to lock him in a room for a while until the baby calmed down cause Keto was going crazy.

And I know its been a little hard on him because he's not getting the same attention he's used to. although we make a lot of effort to make sure that we spend time with Keto, its still not the same.

So I can see how overwhelming it can be for people who have multiple cats and a new baby to care for. I can definetely relate to that now and am not going to judge them for their decision.

But for us, at the end of the day, we have to make it work somehow because giving up Keto is not an option. He's part of the family and we don't give up on family members.

I hope it's okay to post this here-- 9 Lives sent me a bunch of free cat stuff, and they're offering another prize pack for me to give away from my blog. This is the link if you'd like to enter! Although if you do win, hide the chirpy mouse toy at night, or you will never, ever sleep again. BonoCat has taken to jumping up in my bed at like 3am all "HEY! I got you this mouse!" I miss sleep.

This is my point....my cat is a handful but at the end of the day he's still part of my family. If I ever have kids there's just no way Wesley, or any additional pets, will be going anywhere.
