big fat  to gg . . . a *phew thank god you got some lungs on you* to kaffy and echoing the *get thee to a doctor sentiments* for julia

< is a little concerned at how easily my, um, general state of meh, has been lifted by the mere possibility of U2 visiting these fine shores in less.than.150.days . . . :faint:

:D

I was talking on the phone tonight and got some good news. I was a little bit carried away and distracted when I dropped the glass I was holding and it shattered all over the kitchen floor. Eek.

My dog came running over and before I could shoo him, he tried to eat a piece of the glass.  JESUS, it's like he's TRYING to give me a heart attack. :madwife: I yelled so loudly, he was startled and ran a safe distance away, then turned back and watched with a look of confusion as I cleaned it all up.

He tried to EAT the piece of GLASS. Wtf. Weirdo.

:yikes: Glad you got him away in time!!!

And thanks for the hugs guys. I haven't called the doctor yet, I slept till 11 yesterday and till 1 today. I really don't sleep well when I know I have exams up ahead, so that I turned out to be unable to take them has done really well for my sleep! I'll set an alarm on monday morning though.

I don't know if any of you know about Sail Amsterdam, but I went there yesterday with my mom. It was amazing, especially beacause I don't remember last time. It was 10 years ago for us(we were on holidays 5 years ago) so I don't remember. This year it was awesome. Can't wait for 2015.

oh and I almost forgot. For about all my youth I've had an aquarium with tropical fish in my room. It was always there, I loved to watch fish just swim around. Then a couple of years back(four I think) the water level started to drop slightly, up to the point where it was all wet on the cupboard. Had to perform an emergency rescue situation and my fish found a safe home at my friend's aquarium a few blocks away. Ever since the desire to fix it has been there, but it was not very big. The past year after seeing my other friend's HUGE tropical aquarium and having taken care of other people's fish it's started to itch so much. I just got my aquarium out from the attic with the special glass kit fix this morning and am looking up how to fix the leak. I hope to get it fixed and fully functional within a few weeks.

I usually get them when I'm sitting or lying on my back in a room or area with a hot/humid temperature and it'll happen twice or thrice. I've practically never get them when I'm exercising. Only when I'm at rest. I'll go days without having them, and then it'll happen two or three times a day, sometimes four.

I really should talk to my doctor, but it's been happening for a few years now and nothing serious like fainting or breathlessness has occured with it. At the mandatory physicals I've went to my doctor has checked my heart and he says it's normal, in fact, everything about my health is relatively normal except for my asthma.

But yeah, it would be best if I asked to check my heart more thoroughly. I do happen to be a very stressed and nervous person though, it's probably because of that. I hate going to doctors and hospitals. Just the whole atmosphere...ughh..:yikes:

julia, you are way too young for the heart palpitations that accompany an on-coming "hot flash." (I know about these. :D) I still think you should see your doctor, just to rule out or head off any possible problems, and for your own peace of mind! Take care!

Have you ever had an EKG or echocardiogram? Have you ever been told you have a heart murmur? There are any number of things it could be, from stress or too much caffeine, an electrical rhythm disturbance or even a congenital defect (which is what I had).

It's probably nothing serious but you must get this checked out!

:scream:

I'm actually a hypochondriac. This is what I worry about.

Ok, it's Saturday night! Time to spice things up with some random confessions.

-I haven't worn flip flops since the 1980's

-I've never worn sandals

-I've never owned a wife beater and I haven't worn a tank top since the 1980's (I'm not a big fan of exposing my armpits :D )

-I never wear sweatpants in public

Ahh, now I feel better.

Okay, so about 15 minutes ago, with us leaving for Montauk in in roughly 5 hours, we're all awaken by my dog, whimpering and yipping frantically at an earsplitting volume.

I lay there in my bed having just about the biggest freak out in my life, scared sh*tless trying to figure what the f*ck is going on. My parents run downstairs yelling at my dog, with my dad hyperventilating and asking my mom where the scissors are, and my mom cooing to my dog.

I'm sitting there thinking, "What the hell is going on?" My dad closes the door to the room me and my brother are sitting in and I ask him what's happening. Turns out my dog's leg got stuck in a mass of stitching in the sorry piece of junk that is our couch, resulting in confusion and pain for my dog. She bit my parents' hands and drew blood after they tried to help her get unstuck.

We ended up putting a muscle on her and cutting the strings that imprisoned her foot with cuticle scissors. What a freaking night this was. I'm definitely not gonna be falling asleep any time soon.

:hug: My puppy is very important to me and I freak out whenever she gets sick. And I always worry stuff like that will happen to her.

Confession: I would do SO much to go to one U2 show in a different state (preferrably Chicago or the east coast). It just makes me sad seeing people travel cross-country and going to tons of shows when I can barely make (hopefully) two. I know it sounds horrible.....I should be grateful that I can even make one. But I want to see them as much as possible (and I want to meet lots more of you guys!)

Chicago... convince your friends to visit you in Anaheim:wink:

Today I had lunch in a restaurant I've never been to before, and at the end they brought me back my bill together with two pieces of what looked like mints or candy. I went, oooh how nice, scooped them up, paid, put one of them into my mouth, left. Then I'm thinking, jeez this candy is *really* hard and seems to have no flavour at all, turns out it wasn't candy but a couple of small white stones to make sure that bits of paper don't fly off the plate :lol: It's a good thing I didn't try to bite into it!

There are a lot of people that need convincing....and money, if we're going that route
Well for me it's a matter of choice. If I want to see u2 at lots of places, I save throughout the year. It means buying less cds, clothes, food, whatever. I'll just save wherever I can and put the money aside to my U2 fund. Usually is enough to make a few shows. :)

:lmao: Oh nice! Did the waiter look at you while you grabbed it?

I talked to my friend at work today, and he'll take me to this aquarium store soon, they are completely specialised in fish(no pet store!) and I'll be asking the owner for information. I cannot find half the stuff that was in my old aquarium, so I may look for a completely new one actually. Mine is very small and old, I've had it since I was 6 or so. Having to buy a separate pump, heating, cap with lightbulb and everything may be just as expensive as buying a completely new aquarium!
:D Just the though of getting my tank back in my room makes me happy. I missed having fish to just look at without thinking.

Ok, that actually made me laugh out loud!!!!! :lmao:
