I like horrible music. I give every album its fair shake. There are songs I know are awful, but they're my jam yo.

I don't know what this is. I know Jim Carroll was on a fuckton of drugs, but...right now, BrokeNCYDE and Ke$ha make more sense right now. Music's awesome. Lyrics are word salad.

Crowdies fans, we have Aussie tour dates:

NOVEMBER
5: Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
6: Hordern Pavillion, Sydney
9: Convention Centre, Brisbane
13: Peter Lehmann Wines, Barossa Valley (A Day on the Green)
14: Sandalford Estate, Swan Valley
16: Entertainment Centre, Wollongong

Looks like space for extra gigs in Sydney and Brisbane ... looks like Melbourne misses out on multiple gigs because Rod Laver is such a bigger venue in comparison.

"It's too late
To fall in love with Sharon Tate
But it's too soon
To ask me for the words (unintelligible) my tune
I think it's time
That you all start to think about getting by
Without that need to find
Somebody to love [sung in same melody as Freddie Mercury]"

Well, that sort of makes sense...

Where'd you get that info from? Do they have prices up?

Crowdies' fanclub manager posted them on Frenz. Prices not yet known for most gigs - the SA gig is massively expensive (cheapest is $110), what with it being A Day on the Green and all, but Sydney is apparently around $80-90. Imagine Melbourne will be similarly priced to Sydney.

Yay Crowdies dates! Boo for not being the Forum. Do we know when they go on sale?

Yep. Fanclub presale is on 2 August, ticketing agency presales look like being a few days thereafter, then general public on 10 August.

Hmm Interesting. I reckon cause its at Rod Laver it'll probably be up around the $110 mark. But I've been wrong before.

I'll happily pay around $80-90 though....So you guys gonna follow them around the country! End of 2010 is shaping up to be massive. I'm starting to believe U2 will be here then as well, considering issues with Etihad Stadium.

...1980 "We're not a punk band" U2 are more punk than this. This makes me want to slap someone.

Jim Carroll: I'm going to put these two lines together.
Brian Linsley: But they don't make sense, Jim.
Jim: Who gives a fuck? You're harshing my buzz.

The moral of the story? Don't let your buddy babble heroin-fueled bullshit over your demo tape, no matter how poetic he says he is.

I know the band was moderately successful, but goddamn. I can see why they broke up, too.

Another of my co-workers is a cranky old Kiwi, born and raised in Gisborne. I probably spelt that wrong. He's sort of hilarious in his crankiness and that makes him awesome. But he thinks the rock star and the Swedish chick are idiots and gets quite grouchy with them. Like tonight, he told Brian he'd walk out with him. Then didn't. He's nice to me so that's alright.

Let's hope it's under the $100 mark ... :uhoh: My wallet, like Alison's, is aching already.

I'm thinking about the Sydney, Brissie, and 'Gong gigs. SA and WA look pricey, not to mention out of the way in terms of getting to them.

If U2 come late this year, that could make things fun, what with already having Crowdies and Muse tickets.

I'd be cranky if I were from Gisborne too!

Nah, it's not actually that bad, just out of the way. Though how on earth do you end up in Utah from Gisborne ...!

I'm not sure either. I've heard him say though that he's not going back to New Zealand till the ex wife he hates with a fair bit of passion is dead.

Great band, shame about the name!

I thought of something to say to this half an hour ago, but couldn't be stuffed navigating on my phone... now I can't remember what it was.

Aha!

I'm tempted to try to type those keystrokes and see if my computer explodes or it opens up a portal in space-time or something.

Yes I saw that a few days ago! :lmao:

Are we all in?

For JF? Or Crowdies?

5th and 6th are Friday and Sat. nights... Hrm. Weighing up using precious leave vs. Crowdies awesomeness vs. spending money.

My sig could get crowded...
