Freudian?

:)

Cliff Lee always leaves me in an ornery mood. Toss in a dash of willful doltishness/trollishness and you get me at my worst.

Go Ecuador. I mean, Brazil, sorry.

Haha. I'm sure there is some explanation in my subconscious.

And please don't think I was referring to you. I guess I was the one who brought up the violence thing due to Elano's injury, so apologies to all on the thread!

Go Ecuador!

Even if you were referring to me, it's all good. Lord knows I can be a major asshole/derailer and it never hurts to have someone nip it in the bud, etc.

See how this thread handles a day without World Cup action????

:)

I have a question:

How many of you played football, or, still do? And, if you did play in any sort of organized fashion, at what level? I'm genuinely curious......

As a Montrealer, I was somehow compelled to look into this thread today despite the fact there are no games.

I think it may have something to do with all this talk of championship-related riots. I am somewhat of an expert in this area.

catching up on the thread was definitely entertaining.

I too went through withdrawals this morning. I can't wait until Saturday. Some friends and I will be watching the first game at a German pub then watching the second game at a Spanish restaurant across the street. Good times!:drunk::beer:

Sunday will also be the first morning I'll actually sleep in.

I didn't know what to do this morning with no soccer!

Where are you watching the game? My friends and I are planning a trip to the Red Lion.... Spaten Optimator + Sausage Platter = WIN.

iPod Touch

My brother-in-law's getting married on the day of the World Cup final. This would never happen oustide the US.

:( . . . :shifty: . . . can you stream the game on your phone or on some other form of new fangled fabulosity with the sound on mute  :shifty:

< has managed to get all kiddies offloaded to play dates for the afternoon . . .and for the hublet to collect said kidlets later tonight so this little loony can come home from work and hit the sack in readiness for midnight :hyper: :reject:

What's this nonsense about putting it ON MUTE?? With the technology that we have now, a bluetooth earpiece can make it look like you're just being ready to take work calls... :D

 . . . clearly I have much to learn from you oh masterful one  :giggle:

< actually can't stand those bluetoothy things . . . I feel like a complete spazoid

I can't see Brazil-Holland. :scream:

 nasty . . . but where you will be will be so awesome you won't care . . . or they may have a big screen somewhere so you can watch while you  :D

I also arrived in lovely Holland at my sweet girlfriend's place today, and we'll watch the game tomorrow.

The tension is getting bigger. Only a few more hours. :crack:

The past few games we had to win. This is one we can win.
