Maps is my favorite Muse song. I wish they played it one night @ Giants. Also, if you haven't seen the new commercial for the V TV series, they use Uprising. It actually fits thinking how wacky the Muse lyrics are...

i suppose.. just the association with that tween movie/books bugs me..

I know. My niece is a huge Muse fans and is pretty embarrassed by some of the comments she's seen lately, but chalks it up to immaturity. It's one thing to believe a band you love is too big to serve as a support act and should headline their own tour (something we know Muse has done and will do again very shortly). It's something else to moan and complain that Muse only get to perform a handful of songs while the old guys in U2 get to perform twice as many.

Clearly some fans have a difficult time comprehending that the decision to support U2 is something that Muse choose to do, and it's unfortunate that those are the fans who appear to be the most vocal right now.

Of course, that's assuming U2 didn't beg and please Muse to open for them, in which case.... :hmm:

btw.. we got Map of the Problematique at the Raliegh show saturday nite! I was thrilled! And they did Unnatural Selection which they haven't played live in their sets opening up for U2.

You are so lucky... and I am so, so, jealous :sexywink:

well, Muse fans are touchy, that's for sure...

 Very! Especially when it comes to you Elfa.

Nah, I'm just, as U2fanatic already said, quite sick that especially American people associate this great band with something as shitty as Twilight. Here in Europe nobody does that and people recognize the band for who they are. It really ruined their image in the US.

Yeah, no offense to anyone that does like BEP, but what the hell. Why are they opening for them at the Rose Bowl!?

If you play guitar hero, you should probably know the song called Knights of Cydonia. Most non-muse fans at least seem to recognize that song and Starlight. It's sad how all the U2 fans go home with a great impression of Muse and yet Muse fans themselves are bashing U2 for no logical reason whatsoever. But for those that don't really know Muse, I can almost guarantee you that this is probably the finest opening act you can get anywhere for anybody. I know how massive U2 is, but to get a band who sold out Wembley 2 nights in a row to open for you? That's huge. Those of us getting Muse and U2 are in for the show of their lives. Finest live rock musicians in the business right now in one night.

And that's the OPENING SONG that night!

Trying to get that Bootleg:wave:

What Time Is Muse Hitting the Stage?

For those of you who have been to shows in NAmerica, what time is the opener/MUSE coming on?
Going to Dallas with like 6 people. We have GA, but just trying to coordinate parking and letting them know when to be there.
I know parking at JerryLand is way expensive. We might try to carpool.

Anyway, what time does Muse come on? Im thinking 7:15 or so??

Thanks,
Ryan

Get there early.

Muse is HUGE in Europe. And deservedly so. The USA is behind the appreciation curve on Muse.

But you do not want to miss these guys.

Ohh I love Muse.
I think they are fantastic.
Ive seen them every time they have been to Dallas.
I saw them at the Gypsy Tea Room in Dallas with Sterophonics and Keane.

Just got to get the others to join me in my quest to get to the field early.
Ill be shooting for 7.

I'm a huge Muse fan an' all, but remember that that first album with Sunburn and their best album ever, Origin of Symmetry, basically didn't count in the US.

That's a huge gap to make up to introduce ignorant Americans to their superior artificial intelligence-influenced music.

i like muse, have all their albums. the show in atlanta was mediocre at best. they looked like they didn't want to be there at all.

i much prefer muse's music to snow patrol, but i actually enjoyed sp much more when they opened.

I read a similar comment on another message board. The poster cited the lack of interaction between Muse and the audience as a factor. She said SP seemed thrilled to be warming up U2s fans and praised them several times band, while Muse didn't. I can't comment on that because I wasn't at those shows, but from interviews I've read prior to the tour, the lads seemed pretty excited about it.
