Oh, well thanks for clearing that up for us... I'm sure you've calculated the average ticket price and know how much the concert is costing to put on. Do you know the setlist as well?
If other bands can put on shows for less then U2 can too - if they really want people to come to their shows they can even take less of a profit (considering they are prob richer than any artists playing there this year). There are 3 other bands doing Wembley and charging less this summer for GAs (and a lot less than £150 for seats)
I would almos imagine U2 have a lot more bargaining power with their promoters as well as they are so hot property.
The other factor is demand for the tickets, there won't be anywhere near as many people willing to pay £150 for seats for 1 gig in the UK in comparison to even 1 year ago.
IMO they have got it epically wrong, £55 for a GA is fair I guess but its no surprise they are not selling out like Vertigo tour was.
Whilst people may have been willing to pump out £60+SC for Vertigo tickets a lot less peopel are likely to pump out £55+SC in the current climate.
If they wanted recession busting prices then they should have kept all tickets in the 30-50 price range.
