On Beautiful Ghost (One of the unreleased Ipod tracks) in parantheses it says "Introduction to Songs of Experience".

What is this? Just some wird name they came up with? Or was it a scrapped project?

The lyrics were from this poem Bono read, 4got who it was by, but the poem was called, you guessed it, "The Introduction to the Songs of Experience"

thatz wut i heard

It's a William Blake reference. He wrote a collection of poems titled "Songs of Innocence" and later added more poems to it and pubilshed it as "Songs of Innocence and Experience." The collection includes an introductory poem for the Songs of Innocence as well as a second introductory poem for the Songs of Experience.

when the Joshua Tree was going to be a double album, it was going to be the intro to the album (prior to Streets)
