Love! My friend once had wrapping paper that had "the greatest gift is love" written all over it.

As far as material gifts, I really don't know.

Friendship, without a doubt.
My 3 sons arriving in the world healthy.

My parents. I'm adopted, so my birth mother gave me the opportunity to have a life she couldn't have given me with the two most wonderful people I know.

Good friends.

Having been surrounded by enormous amounts of love my entire life.

As for material things, it's a three-way tie:

My trips to Africa/England from my parents.

A CD of songs that really explain who I am in a way few can understand.

A diamond star necklace. Stars are my personal totem.

My musical talent.

A friendship that has lasted for nearly half of my life, despite distance, confusion and hurt.

The hearts that I've bonded with, even if only briefly and even if I've lost touch with them.

life and a chance to love

and besides that, my family.

My mother given less than 24 hours to live due to a stroke.

That was 8 years ago.

And she is living a productive life as if nothing had happened (except minor physical limitations)

Can't ask for a greater gift than that.

One year I got World Peace for Christmas, but it wasn't really as great as I thought it would be.

Way back in November 1993 my sister gave me a ticket to see U2 Zoo TV. She gave it to me as a suprise on the day. The band were like magic and it got me hooked forever...
