The premise of the story doesn't even make sense...it alludes to the recent sessions, and songs from those sessions haven't been released yet. So how does telling us that U2 are in London making new songs reveal anything about creating hit songs? (unless the writer has a time-machine that allows him to know that the songs currently being finished are destined to become hits).

Why would @U2 even bother reposting a poorly written article with zero new information? The U2.com story about U23D playing in Dubai at least told me something I didn't know.
