LOL, I was just going to start a topic like this!
Let's see.. my uncle hates U2, my grandma sort of likes them, my father greatly dislikes them (unfortunately, he's been dragged along -- he's me and my mom's bodyguard, heh -- to 7 shows, the lucky fool), my aunt loves them but not nearly as much as me.. my mom is absolutely wild over them.. oh yes, my grandpa! He was indifferent to them entirely, but then a while ago, I asked him if he minded that I tape a U2 special on MuchMusic on his TV, because all the over TVs didn't get that channel or they couldn't be used. And he said yes, so I came back to check on the tape later, and he was singing along to Angel of Harlem with a big smile on his face! It was so cute
heh.. I told Mona about this -- I watched Rattle and Hum in my grandparent's van twice, and my uncle sat there and actually WATCHED it! I was amazed. The last time I watched a U2 video in the car with him, he got a blanket and pillow out and covered himself up and blocked out all noise.
He got twitchy during Bad though -- maybe he doesn't like Bono halfnaked in pants and suspenders? Hmm..
