Just so all of you know, Jeremy Clarkson is FUCKING AWESOME.

I can hear it, but it's not something I'd expect at a sporting event (except maybe lawn bowls)... way too mellow

Well of course. I wasn't being serious ... except for the part where PFan's designing music for baseball, in which case 4th Of July is about 20,000 times more upbeat than what's happening on the field.

Thank god you weren't serious (about VD->4thJuly).

Being serious would have required too much effort.

See you later!

Quiet night, huh.

It feels like the Maj. and Daniel and such haven't been here in ages.

11 would be far too early by my standards.

And we go off daylight saving tonight so I get an extra hour out of the day.

It ended up going far too quiet. And the large font stopped.

Your mention of 11 for whatever reason has made me listen to 11 O'clock Tick Tock. 5 June 1983.

Fuck I miss when U2 were good. Because this owns so much.

I actually have that track on my iPod. Fucking great shit. I play that at the fields.

This very performance got me into U2 on a serious level.

In 2002, I got the Best Of 1990-2000. Absolutely fell in love with Gone. One of my mother's friends had old cassette copies of UABRS and RAH, which they gave to me.

11 O'clock Tick Tock on UABRS rocked my 15 year old world.

I already loved Bad from when I bought the Best Of 1980-1990 when I was eleven, but the performance on RAH affected me more than any music I had heard up to that point (Anathema's Judgement album is now the benchmark for music affecting me and will probably never be surpassed).

How goes the PT Pack?

I'm thinking I will have to divide it into three packs, as the band's catalogue can be somewhat neatly divided into three eras.

I might send you David Bowie's Low album is this protected converter works again. Would you be interested?

As an addendum, this is why my avatar is Edge at Red Rocks playing 11OTT.

Also, in that above post, I meant to say on video, not cassette. My mind is elsewhere right now. Fuck you, university essays.

But anyway, my UABRS video barely plays around 11OTT as I repeated it to death.

It never gets old either.

Fuck, this is just like the first time I heard it, really.

Hey guys.

I wanted to go to sleep because I caught a cold at about 2am last night while doing karaoke. Real prick of a thing, can't get to sleep with it.

Sounds good. You've managed to get your computer to work well enough that you can do that?

Oh fun. Hope you shake the cold soon.

And hi!

One of my friends is in Adelaide right now and her description of Adelaide trains is making me jealous.

 Unlike Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth, you lot don't have electrified commuter trains. They sound interesting and I'd love to ride/photograph them.

Plus I hear that as far as freight goes, Adelaide is one of those most diverse places to be in Australia.

See, your city's got SOMETHING going for it. And being over-run by gunzels would have to be better than being over-run by religious nutters.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I hope this person's coming to U2 3D just so we can see her reaction when she realises it's just the band on a movie screen, not a real gig.

4. Gone (Best of Mix)

It seems some people here are too blinded by their attachment to the original that they cannot even entertain the possibility the New Mix is better.

6. Bad (Vertigo Chicago)

You've got to be kidding. Any post-1993 performance of Bad cannot even come close to touching the glory of 1987-89 Bad. It's mostly the fault of Bono's vocals. Sure, it's still the definitive live U2 song, but Bad from RAH pisses all over every version from 2001-06 COMBINED.

7. With or Without You (Joshua Tree Tempe)

That's great, but there's better. Namely those with the Love Will Tear Us Apart snippet. I recommend 30 December 1989, Dublin.
