I'm kinda pissed that i'm from the wrong side of New York City... we got nothin' on the Island. The Mets stink, the knicks stink, the rangers and islanders stink, we even lost the Field Day festival (radiohead, beastie boys) because the town of Riverhead couldn't get the proper permits and police coverage... we do have the bellmont on long island though, so that's a plus...
but damn what a weekend it is for those across the Hudson in Northern Jersey... most of them are yankee fans, and you've got clemens going for #300 today... they're a short drive from bellmont as funny cide goes for the triple crown... the nets just tied up the nba finals last night... the devils go for the stanley cup tonight... aaaand the Field Day festival that was supposed to be on Long Island? Moved to Giants Stadium... in east rutheford. go figure.
