Haha, I'm sorry to start a new thread! But this is so huge for me! I went to see them saturday at the Hard Rock in Vegas. I'm so glad I went- it rocked so hard!!!! I already posted this in the LS, so I'm just a-gonna copy and paste. Hope this is ok!
We got to the Hard Rock at around 8:30 in the morning, and we were the first ones in line!! There was this really really nice stagehand that works for the Hard Rock that was talking to us for a long time, even bringing us some water at one point. An hour or so later, other people started to line up. After a while, we were told to move the line into the casino. Well when we got in there, we found out that the entire band had been hanging out in the casino. So the first one I see is Will. I went up to him and told him my name and shook his hand, then asked for an autograph. And he was so nice and polite throughout it all, oh my gosh? He?s adorable. Ok, then we see Guy a little bit later, just standing around w/ a video camera (
), and I asked for an autograph and then if he?d take a pic w/ my friend and I. We were looking around for someone to take it for us, he suggested that we just take them separately!! Ah he was so nice. And oh my gosh, is he even more in person. Wow. Then a few people from the ga line came up, so we all got our picture taken w/ him. He was so nice about how annoying we were! By this time, everyone is going crazy b/c Chris just came by. So everyone goes rushing over to him... I didn?t b/c I felt bad that he was being swarmed and so forth. Like, people were waiting for him to come out of the bathroom for craps sake. But anyway, he walked by when we were talking to Guy, so I smiled and waved. He smiled back (oh my gosh it was a great smile) and said hi. I wish I would?ve asked for an autograph, but I just felt so damn bad. So that was it until the concert. Oh yeah, we saw Drew Carey right before he went into the VIP room, he was at the concert I guess.
The concert was absolutely GREAT! We were front row middle. Ash was opening, and they were pretty dang good. The lead singer was so energetic.. Tim right? Anyway, Coldplay. I don?t know what I can say. It was incredible. They are indeed amazing live and Chris is a phenomenal frontman. I mean, you could barely take your eyes off him. It was great great great. I?d go into detail about every song but I just don?t have the energy. Haha I can tell you that at the end of The Scientist, Chris started singing Nelly?s Hot in Here?oh my gosh it was hilarious. And it sounded so gorgeous with Chris? voice!!
Baah I can honestly say that no band has made me feel like this except for U2. The kind of feeling you get when you leave such a great concert, y?know? Like, so happy yet really sad that it?s over. Oh my goodness! I was really hoping to get a drumstick from Will or a pick or something, and I came close, but no dice. But wait, it?s not over yet. Remember that roadie?? Well he was amongst the others striking the set, and I call his name. So he walks over, and hands us two drumsticks!!!!!!! And then, he gave another roadie two picks to give to us! He even said ?Give those to Molly (me) and Leigh Ann (my friend). Aaaaaah what a nice guy. I can?t believe it!!!!!!!
Ok. Afterwards we went to eat at the Hard Rock Caf? and then went back into the casino. So I see Jonny over by the blackjack tables. It took me about 15 min to go over and ask for a sig b/c I?m a raging wuss and I just feel horrible about that stuff, but I did. So azzuh! Haha while I was stalling Will walked by, smiled at us and said ?Hey!? b/c he flippin? remembered us! He really is the nicest guy ever. That?s it! Now I?ll post the pics and the autographs! Sorry for going on.. but.. c?mon. Still on cloud 9 about the whole experience!
