I don't know, it's more sort of laid back, jazzy even... I can imagine some of the first few tracks being played in a smoky bar. I just thought it was a bit flat, but as with all music I listen to, it's gets better with time. Thoughts of Mary Jane was probably my favourite.

In the paper today, they worked it out. Medals and gold medals per population, Australian are fifth, New Zealand are second (with about a medal per 400,000) and the US and China are languishing about 50th and 60th

What really irritates me is when they insist on replaying so-and-so's bronze win a hundred times while other events are happening. I know I've missed so many events because Channel 7 would rather show their replays and puff pieces than other athletes competing. It also irks me that some sports, they only pay attention when there's an Australian, and fuck everything else. We only get a rowing race if there's an Aussie. They'll show an Aussie equestrian rider, and then instantly cut away so you can't see anybody else or know how it ended. God, it's dreadful. 7 can FOAD.

Oooh, nice. Go New Zealand. Makes me feel not so bad that we've only got nine medals total thus far!
China's population is pushing 1.3 billion now.
I expect India will emerge as more competitive at the Olympics in the next couple of decades. They're rather unimpressive at present, but showing promise of going places. And, of course, if Twenty20 cricket were to be included, they'd be in with a huge shot of a medal there.

I agree completely. My biggest annoyance has been their insistence on showing 50% of some sport, then either cutting too the end, or switching and showing another sport altogether. But good post I think Water Polo is boring
Not too sure... I know he had broken up with his girlfriend of six years. Me and an obsessed friend went to see his first show at the comedy festival earlier this year, and he was visibly shattered, Amy, I think her name was. Don't know if he has a new girlfriend.
I've been downloading for years and haven't run into problems. One thing that worked against Ashley is that she was downloading on a US university network, which 1. have been heavily targeted by the RIAA and 2. buckle and release information.
I stick to my torrents and using sites like Sordo and I've no worries.

Yeah, that pisses me off. At least SBS takes one sport and sticks with it. I also hate how 7 will cut in late to some track events and run all the heats really quickly, but try to pass it off as live. Nobody's fooled, you twats. FOAD = Fuck Off And Die.
And yeah, I never realised just how dull water polo is. Though Chass made a good point on an earlier thread that if you don't actually watch and just listen to the commentary, it sometimes sounds like they're commentating porn!
