Rock n' Roll Doggie ALL ACCESS
I know, maybe this thread will die in oblivion
anyway... post-rock is my favorite kind of music lately, even with its pretentious name, these musicians can communicate such deep feelings with just music (except in cases like Sigur Ros, some Mogwai, etc.), is, perhaps, very difficult music to listen, songs use to last 8, 10 or 30 minutes but I like how a post-rock song can evolve in itself and build sound walls...

well, now let's talk about the bands... I bet you now the obvious ones: Sigur Ros, Mogwai, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, A Silver Mt. Zion (and their changeable names), Explosions in the Sky, Tortoise, Fly Pan Am, Mono, Do Make Say Think, Hood, et. al.
but here are some discoveries, true gems:

I like also how this kind of music and doom metal are so close... Red Sparowes is prove, doom metal musicians in a post-rock band
Red Sparowes @ my space: www.myspace.com/redsparowes
ok, discuss this genre, these and other bands... you know, all that
PS: I have a doubt about post-rock and math rock... I don't get why people sometimes classify bands like Lightning Bolt, Don Caballero, Battles, By The End of Tonight as post-rock... why?!!!
