My favorite Beatle has passed away...the Beatles are my favorite group beside U2. I've been listening to All Things Must Pass all morning...

And the time will come when you see we're all one

And life flows on within you and without you"

All things must pass away"

Peace George

I always considered George to be my favorite Beatle. He was always the quiet one, who everyone knew had something to say. That's why we always listened when he DID make a statement. Whether it was The Concert For Bangladesh or Eastern Philosophy, he opened the minds and hearts of everyone that heard him.
I wasn't around for the death of John Lennon. I was less than a year old when it happened. Now, I'm begining to get what everyone was talking about when they remembered how awful it was to loose such a brilliant, gentle, sensitive human being. Not just sensitive, but truly full of sense.

I never really researched into the lives of the Beatles... But i can say one thing, I remember back a year ago when George Harrison walked into the HMV store that I worked in... He actually came in right before my shift started.. But my manager asked for an autograph, and GH replied "no". This just shows how modest George Harrison as a person was. I heard he was very spiritual as a being.... Well, God rest his soul.

"I look at the world and I notice it's turning.
While my guitar gently weeps.
With every mistake we must surely be learning.
Still my guitar gently weeps."
George Harrison (1943-2001), from the song While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

Heard about it from Jim Ladd around 12:30 last night. He changed his show and played strictly GH songs. He will be taking requests tonight, playing any GH song you want to hear starting at 10:00pm pacific time. The number, should anyone want to call in, is 1-800-955-KLOS. 10:00pm - 2:00am.
It should be a great tribute, he interviewed the man only once, but it was something he will treasure forever. He said George showed up for the Interview alone, just drove up himself, without an entourage, and spent the first 15 minutes making sure Jim Ladd was confortable(since he knew Jim would be nervous talking with an ex - Beatle). It was a great story he told about it.
What a tragedy,

Here comes the sun (do do do do)
here comes the sun (and I say)
it's all right

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun (do do do do)
here comes the sun (and I say)
it's all right

Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it's all right
It's all right

My sweet Lord
Mm, my Lord
Mm, my Lord

I really want to see you
Really want to be with you
Really want to see you, Lord
But it takes so long, my Lord

My sweet Lord
Mm, my Lord
Mm, my Lord

I really want to know you
I really want to go with you
Really want to show you, Lord
That it won't take long, my Lord Hallelujah...

Rest in peace, George.

"Good men die unhappily. Bad men die unluckily. THAT's tragedy." --Tom Stoppard

Adam: Look guys, I got a Springfield spoon for my spoon collection.
Edge: Oh boy, here we go...
Bono: Wow, how many is that now Adam?
Adam: Nine. If I didn't have my spoons, I'd go insane.
Bono: Can I see it?
*adam gives bono the spoon, bono throws it away*
Adam: My spoon!

And in the end
The love you take
Is equal to the love you make

Judging by the # of replies, George Harrison did indeed make/earn/give a lot of love

Rest in peace

If I needed someone to love
you're the one that I'd be thinking of
If I needed someone

This is so sad, one half of The Beatles are gone.

George Harrison's music always touched me the most: Here Comes the Sun brings instant happiness, While My Guitar Gently Weeps tender sadness. His expression of love and searching for God is like no other in pop music. He inspired the world and fellow musicians to be compassionate for those less fortunate. I am so thankful for what he gave, the joy his songs bring in my life, and I am so sorry that the world will be missing this wonderful person.

RIP George!

Guess the rumors were true this time. That makes me sad, only 58 years old

I'm a big Beatles fan and always liked George Harrison. He seemed like a down to earth sort of guy. (even if he did lump U2 together with the Spice Girls

Ah well, nobody's perfect.)

R.I.P. He will be missed.
