Always nice to see that the tree is still there. :)

And I see something very familiar in a couple photos. :hmm:

I would prefer that there be some of it left when I do end up making the trip up there.

At least thanks to the first post of this thread I got to see some gorgeous Mojave porn today

More why I was posting about it. If people just start chopping away at it, a nice little piece of fan history will be gone for the rest of us. I realize 'it's a dead tree.'

i didn't mean to belittle people who've been to the tree and/or want to go to the tree... i'm going to a wedding in palm springs in may and looked into finding the tree myself.

but whether people chop it up or just leave it... it's a dead tree. it'll be wasted away to nothing sooner rather than later regardless. so even if nobody touches it, it's going to be gone soon anyways.

A Joshua tree in the middle of the Mojave desert is not going to decay naturally in our lifetimes.

The earth is going to disintegrate into a ball of fire in a billion years or so, so we might as well get serious about fucking it up, already.

Since The Edge is from the future, I'm surprised he hasn't told us which year this will occur.
