Did the new version of Red Hill Mining Town leak out yet?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

Cash grab? Or to tarnish their legacy?

People are actually going to make that argument if it isn't a palatable enough song for them. And it's likely it won't be given the sort of godawful acts they have opening for them on the JT tour which shows the sort of tastes that U2 expects of their audience.

Obviously, in reality, it's a savior for a band that's coming off the worst reviewed album of their career and one that was forced upon hundreds of millions of people.

If only we had a body language expert.

Anyone?

They probably did not need him regardless. A sampled drum beat a la Zooropa or Pop. Maybe Larry put down some fills in a few minutes and walked away, troubled by all the cash-grabbery.

A cover so bad that people chalked up as much as $1,000 for a copy of the early vinyl without it.

It's good. I've heard it.. Doesn't poop all over the original production value ala Mike Hedges mixes.

There's some new backup vocals, previously buried in the mix. The guitar is a little more prominent in the mix. Biggest change is in outro. Removes the repetitive, strained "lights go down" vocal but keeps the same idea with a different lyric. (Should save Bono's vox live)

:hmm: Thanks for the teaser.
