So the Munich story was true after all

I had a feeling it would be.

I'm really really worried right now, just got home, heard the news. I don't think we will be seeing U2 live any time soon. Bono needs to recover and his health is the most important thing right now.

 Prayers for our Bono's speedy recovery. We should take turns volunteering our nursing skills.
 Need I say more! I pray for his health and recovery as well as for his family at this time...
Do you think I could use my nursing license over in Europe??? :cute:
And we'll make him a Get Well card!!
:up::up:
I think there is something on U2.com. Not sure where, maybe in Zootopia.
I am going to U2.com right now!!!

 I hope Bono feels better soon..I am so sad right now..and concerned..poor guy..:(
I love you Bono take care of yourself!!

Greetings from Salt Lake City:wave: I drove by the stadium this morning as soon as I heard the news about Bono's surgery. The claw was almost completely assembled early today - and now it looks like they've started taking it down.

There is (literally) a black cloud hanging over Salt Lake City tonight - we were so excited to see the tour opener on June 3rd! Like all of you - I am keeping Bono in my thoughts and prayers and sending all my most positive healing vibes his way. Hopefully we'll know more soon. Peace.

This is indeed very sad news ! His injury must be serious if he required emergency surgery . and prayers being sent to you Bono and Ali and the girls .

To be honest - my fucked up little brain thought about getting him flowers to the hospital.... I'm in Munich on monday. But don't be mad at me if I don't - my boyfriend would kill me! :)

Btw. if it was that serious - how did they transport him to Munich. Normally you wouldn't risk flying a person with back injury.

And yes, he has two great doctors! Müller-Wohlfahrt is the doc from the FC Bayern - so he treats some of the best soccer players of the world.

And our hero Bono!!!!

Been wondering this too! And also someone saw Bono actually still able to walk, although assisted, at Munich airport, so hopefully it's not a spinal injury! Which I know from experience (i.e. my brother had to have spinal surgery some years ago) can take months to recover from!! :uhoh:

Most likely the term "emergency" has more to do with it being in his best interest to have a surgery now since he has tour obligations looming rather than risk waiting or foregoing it. I'm sure it's not "emergency" as in "life threatening". Surely he is in the very best of care and will make a speedy recovery. Modern medicine is quite amazing and I'm sure Bono will want to really focus and push through his recovery to eliminate missing tour dates and get on with committments. I'm sure the band will travel with medical specialists during whatever tour dates Bono manages and that again he will be well cared for and get through this just fine.

OH, FUCKING NEWS!!! I can´t believe it!!! I nearly got a heart attack!!!
Just now I found on facebook a group called A MOMENT OF PRAYER FOR BONO and i didn´t know what´s going on!!! The next few minutes of unknowing were sooo bad, SOOO UNBEARABLE! I nearly died!!!:sad::sad: Then I found the news on internet....but NO details...I´m so WORRIED!!

Bono get well soon!! I´m hoping! I pray for you :heart: Don´t worry about the tour! Nothing else matters but the health!! Take yourself so much time as you need to get yourself together! I LOVE YOU!! I wish you all the best!!!

He MUST be OK!! God MUST love him!!!!
I need him to be still full of energy. He gives me force and motivation to all my days

He's gunna be fine...

I think so too......Back injuries are horrible. I know this first hand. But, with time and following your doctor's advice. You will recover.

Still, I feel so badly for Bono. Recovery is painful. And it can takes weeks if not months. Depending on what surgical procedure was done.

It must be utterly frustrating for Bono because he's so active, energetic, so full of life, and I'm sure he wants nothing more than going out on stage to perform right now. From what I know about him I guess he feels he's letting people down. I hope he isn't feeling too bad about the whole situation and is instead focusing on his recovery, that's the most important thing. I don't want a Bono that is in pain or has to take all kinds of medication, I want him to enjoy being on stage and performing. I guess we just have to wait and see and keep him in our thoughts and prayers. He's such a strong person, I'm sure he'll be fine.

This...all of it. Said perfectly!! I thought the same thing, he'll probably be so frustrated with this.

It's afternoon over there now...I hope he's feeling better today :sigh:

I think that the majority of true U2 fans will agree that we really dont mind if the tour has to be post-poned, so long as Bono recovers fully and does not take any chances just to entertain us.
Spinal surgery or a spinal injury is definetly not something to mess with. Id gladly go to a different date or lose my chance to see them as long as he doesnt end up paralyzed just because he came back to early, or something along those lines.

AGREE!!
For me, the important thing is that he is healthy and fully recovered. Don't care about if shows get postponed.
