Of course I don't think it's a polite remark, but if somebody is known for their snarky or upseting remarks, I truly believe the best way to discourage them from posting that kind of stuff is to ignore them altogether; that way they will get sick of trying to stir up shite.

And also there is no need to get so incensed about that kind of remark. It's not worth it and I don't think even the boys give a hoot about it.
