might have gotten choked up the first time I heard this song. It's insanely good.

Song is kinda all over the place - not bad though. I'm sure I might get into it more after several listens, despite some cheesy lyrics. But comparing it to SUC? ugh.....that song was ghastly. Talk about cheese.

Preach. SOI was an amazing album. NLOTH was good but too many misses. BOMB was one of my least favorite u2 albums.

many u2 albums seem to be growers for me, especially my favorite ones. But this one was a HUGE grower for me. First run through the album, I kind of thought "meh, it's solid but nothing great". Now I love almost every song so basically, all the songs are in my head right now and I'm loving...

probably my favorite tune on this album! :drool::drool: It's just perfect! "Hope is where the door is When the church is where the war is Where no one can feel no one else’s pain" The way this part is delivered is incredible.

SUC was cheesy, Cedarwood rocks out. Awesome guitar by Edge. At first I heard it and said "ok great guitar but doesn't do much else for me". It has grown on me and now love it, although it's still bottom half.

agree with this. "I don't believe" is incredible, then the chorus I kind of cringe to. Which sucks, because outside of that, the rest of the song is frigging awesome.

Good song. I love it's placement in the record, after "Song for Someone" and "Iris" it is a great rocker and fun song. Has a bit of cheesiness of course, but not the kind of cheese like "Vertigo" or "GOYB". For some reason, i don't know, "Volcano" gets away with it. Mr. Clayton shines :up:

middle of the pack for me, but still think it's great. I think it would be a good single - my wife is a casual u2 fan and this is her favorite one.

Love this song. Catchy as hell. One of my favorites on the record. U2 having a little fun. It was a grower, though.

first time I heard it, I was like "this is the first song on the album?" I didn't hear the Apple live version, still haven't. Now I love it. Really grown on me - just a great tune. Still lower half of the album as far as song rankings go, so shows how much i love the new record. but...

WOW. "Sleep like a Baby Tonight" isn't near my favorite song on the album after first listen, but it's just such a cool sounding song and I love what U2 are doing with this record. Fantastic. Can't wait to keep listening over and over.

Feel like giving it a 9 because I'm loving it after many listens but I will say 8. Great single material. Catchy as hell - great chorus. Looking forward to what they come up with for rest of the album. But if this is the "Boots" of this record, then I'm excited.

the part of the "there is no them, there's only us" when the beat kicks back in, that part is :drool::drool: can't see how this won't be a decent hit for them. it's catchy tune and with the lines/message in it, it should be great in the mainstream. Still loving it - discovering new things...

I haven't been on the forum for a couple years - I've kind of fallen out of the u2 news. I logged in just now to see something on the new album as I haven't heard anything on "mainstream" media....what a disappointment. 4 years and no new album? and no real concrete news. what a bummer...

after the tour and playing the CD 5 times a day, i got tired of it and put it away for a few months. after buying tickets to fly out to seattle to catch the next leg in june, i started listening to it again. its def. a great album still and i think their best since AB. SUC still is the weak...
