Best part of being a U2 fan is if they lose you on one thing then one sure has a lot of listening pleasure in their back catalog. For me personally they have not put an album out since POP that I just put on repeat and listen the whole way through. Some good nuggets since but nothing they've...
Bono:But I told you what we were doing.
Fan: I know, but how dare you?
I knew a gal many years ago and her favorite place to be was beside herself. Her favorite sport was jumping to conclusions.
Two things would be epic:
Instead of Bono phoning world leaders during the show he calls Larry at home.
EBTTRT will have Larry join in to play ala Garth at the MTV music awards.
You heard it here first!
One annoying thing. Since I listened to stories of surrender on audiobook, every damn time I play these new songs Bono pops in my head announcing the chapter.
There are enough interesting tidbits in here to make me believe they will have plenty of inspiration for the next album. Even though these are all well known songs (well at least to this group) I felt like I was listening to demo versions and there would be little pieces that made me take notice...
I remember downloading the POP album over dial up. I believe it took 16 hours. My mom story is her driving me to Tower Records to pick up Rattle and Hum. Also, holy hell AWIA stereo...that is a blast from the past!!
I think this would be a great McPhisto moment:
Even the fast food critic from AV Club slagged our last album off...off with the horns and on with the Big Mac...special sauce let us cheese.
nah..I'm just choosing to discount reviews from the likes of AV Club who chose their food critic to write an album review. To be fair I also need to discount Rolling Stone as we can always expect 4 or 5 stars.
