How laughable. So we've got:

- "The Showman" can't be left as just that, it has to include a second, infinitely worse title in brackets
- Three songs with vapid noun-preposition-noun titles
- Five titles with at least six words
- Three songs with the word 'love'
- Two songs that lead off with the word 'love'
- Several songs with titles that are needlessly wordy
- One title featuring a phrase used in a single from the previous album
- A remix with a stupid title that no one asked for

Great! Awesome!

bet you were sweetness and light on a Christmas morning :D

Announcement is def by Wednesday. Still no word on whether it's linked to new music

Not sure we'll get much more than the track list above (13 tracks!!)

It will be at 1am Thursday Australian time, just after I go to bed. I promise you.

Lucky some of you don't live here or your meltdowns would be beautiful.

No way are we getting tour dates with the announcement, just hope no one's got their hopes up. There would have been leaks/rumours of dates and venues by now.

13 songs on the album proper and 14 total new songs...wow!!

Song titles are meaningless.
Very curious to put a remix of a non album song on the deluxe album, perhaps that would have been better as a b-side to a single release but I will be open to it and hope it energizes the song a bit for me.

Excited to hear the new songs, but the titles are pretty bad. Also weird that Ordinary Love mix is on there as a bonus track.

AtU2 published the entire track list:

Side 1:

1) Love Is All We Have Left
2) Lights Of Home
3) You're The Best Thing About Me
4) Get Out Of Your Own Way
5) American Soul

Side 2:

1) Summer Of Love
2) Red Flag Day
3) The Showman (Little More Better)
4) The Little Things That Give You Away

Side 3:

1) Landlady
2) The Blackout
3) Love Is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way
4) 13 (There Is A Light)

Side 4 (bonus tracks):

1) Ordinary Love (Extraordinary Mix)
2) Book Of Your Heart
3) Lights Of Home (St Peter's String Version)

I can care less about the titles, I’m sooooo fucking excited.

I wonder if for some reason they reworked Ordinary Love and felt like it fit the album.

Also, thanks as always for the tidbit, RD!

They're just bitter that nobody sent in any videos for jt30

The bitching about song titles is silly. They've always had awful, way too long song titles.

Where the streets have no name would sound pretty silly if you didn't know the song. There'd also be a silly debate over the grammar (name? Shouldn't it be names?) And then people would write it off before ever hearing it.

Because Interference.

Yeah, can you imagine if interference was around the day we heard U2’s next single was going to called The Fly and the album Achtung Baby?

There are also a lot of long song titles on Achtung.

Even Better than the Real Thing
Until the End of the World
Who’s Going to Ride You’re Wild Horses
Trying to Throw Your Arms Around the World

Yeah, that track listing would have went over really well here...lol

I wonder if Ordinary Love (Extraordinary Mix) will have slightly different lyrics from before they repurposed it to become Fake Mandela Song.

And why not jut call it Extraordinary Love?

I can get the uneasiness over all the use of Love in the titles, but the lengths and use of parenthesis is common practice.

If you think it's always been silly, then I guess I have no argument there; other than to state again that you haven't heard the song.

And a wise man said, unless the song is called Bannas Up The Arse, the title is fairly meaningless.

Daddy's Gonna Pay For Your Crashed Car. Laughable. No way that song will ever be good because of the song title.

I don't think there were many leaks before I/E

Yeah there definitely weren't leaks on the scale of previous tours (no doubt because the schedule was more concentrated, so fewer venues means fewer loose lips), but we at least had some idea about what was in the works. Here's what we knew in late October 2014, and apologies that the formatting has apparently fallen over sometime between then and now: U2's next tour: what do we know? UPDATED - U2gigs.com

And here's some more that we learnt by mid-November: More European tour rumours - U2gigs.com

The tour itself was announced in early December.

So unless they've become geniuses at keeping tour details under wraps, we're not getting those details this week, and probably not for a few weeks. I wonder if they might time a tour announcement to go with the album actually being in stores - "so you just gave the album a spin and enjoyed it? Well guess what, now you can come hear it live!"

Song titles are meaningless

You're just asking for another banana up the arse.

Mysterious promo: great.

Little More Better as part of mysterious promo: not great.

In a way I wish atU2 hadn't got that tracklist scoop just because this place would've had one hell of a time trying to puzzle out those track titles. You know U2Valencia would've come up with something too.

It's a shame the forum there got shut down, or someone could have compared "(My) Love Is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way" to a gerbil getting sodomised by an elephant.
