This isn't our first burger joint discussion, I'm sure someone has already covered her experience with five guys.

Well, when you put it in Lance-mom context, there's no real need to wonder what's up with that apostrophe. We know what the Carl's junior is.

Very good description. Definitely tastes like a good burger you would get at a BBQ or something. But it's considerably pricier than the rest of the chains, and that dissuades me from going there more often.

You're the first person who's understood what I mean when I say that . Now I really want a burger...

And fuck burger.

Wolfgang Puck.

Good to see a fan or two of the band around here. I think Axver is a big fan of their early work too.

Yep. I'm also a big fan of Urban Hymns and a decent chunk of A Northern Soul, but holy shit nobody made music quite like early Verve. I suppose there are a decent number of bands that have sought to play a psychedelic take on shoegaze, but nobody else has Nick McCabe. The things that man can do with a guitar are otherworldly.

Vlad's also a fan.

And my Axver on the Verve.

And yeah, agreed with everything you said in the rest of that post.

Voyager 1. That is all I
have to say. McCabe's live guitar sound is spectacular.

Hell fucking yes. Slide Away and Gravity Grave from Voyager 1 are two of the best things ever. If I have to do something tedious and repetitive at work, I usually just put on Voyager 1 and get completely lost in it. Makes the time fly by.

Hmm...you guys are making me think I should check out The Verve more.

I only have the greatest hits. Mebbe I need more than that.

I'm guessing you have the This is Music compilation.

Listen to Slide Away, Lucky Man, and History back to back (conveniently, tracks 2, 3 & 4). Whichever you like best, start by listening to the album that one is on.

The only Fast and Furious movie I've seen is Tokyo Drift. I'm not a movie person, and I don't get the hype, but that's just me.

I've been wanting to check out The Verve's discography, as I only know (and love) 3 of their singles: Lucky Man, Bittersweet Symphony and Drugs Don't Work.

Well in that case you need some Urban Hymns in your life.
