PGP: We're Dancing in the Crystal Ballroom

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

That's the funny part. I didn't think I was, either. If you'd asked me two months ago, I would have said that I might try to catch one show. But now that it's here? I'm back in the saddle, apparently. MUST SEE ALL THE U2 SHOWS.

I'm somewhere in between you and Zooey I think. I'm reallly hoping to see more shows. But there seems to be so many people already saying they couldn't get tickets. I don't know. I'm thinking if I only see one or two shows I'll be fine. But that might not be how I feel when the tour gets rolling. I'm afraid i'll want more. :reject: However, this time I can't afford to travel like last time, so that will keep my feet on the ground.

I just got my tickets for both nights in Boston. Whoa---- I couldn't get out of a meeting for hour and didn't even get to livenation.com til after 3. Serious heart attacks from me about missing tickets and wasting my membership fee, but they still had a few. Kind of crappy balcony seat for night one-- but on Edge's side, at least, and GA for night two. Yayy! :loveshower:

I may post more just to see my avi, I'd forgotten it was wet!shirtless!Adam from the Minneapolis show

Oh, post away, please!

I think I've got quite a few wet shirtless Adam posted over in the Clayton Castle. :shifty:

If I had $2000 to blow, I'd get one just to look at it. While petting it and muttering "my precioussssss" over and over. :sexywink:

I don't think I ever answered your actual question. I have GA for May 27 and 30. That way I see a night #2 and a night #1 with a minimum of time away from my family, but still have some beach time!

Not sure what to do for Phx. I'd like to take family… not sure Owen's ready for GA. We're both pretty short. Maybe floor one night and seats the other night.

And I think that's it for me. The opening night of the tour is on my b'day but I'm saving for a big family trip somewhere.

So, a week or so ago I got a card from an old friend, someone my ex and I used to play in a band with for a long time. The card contained a check for three hundred dollars, my share in liquidating the entire band infrastructure (of which of course I assumed there was none, and had long forgotten all about.) I felt a little funny about it and stuck it on a shelf. Three days later the tour was announced. The cost of a ticket to each night of I/E, two nights in a hostel and a train ticket to Boston are.... about 320.00.

That's awesome!

Jeevey, I don't think we've met. I'm zooey  I'm not sticking around right now, though - to market, to market...

Yeah, I'm caught up in the frenzy, but realistically, I don't think I'll be going to anything other than Toronto shows. I expect them to announce two more, and I'll try to get tickets to those, too. If they play 4 in Toronto, that will be over the course of a week, and that's all the vacation time I can take in the summer, I only get two weeks and need to save some for the rest of the year, or I'd go insane.

Awesome! And lucky to get the surprise money for it too! Did I know you were in a band before?? LOL. Cool.

OH! You are going to LA! Yay! Except so far I don't either of those shows. So far I only have the 26th. And in the general sale Monday I have to try to get 2 more 26th for the rest of the family. I really hope to get a night 2 though too! Dang it. Why did I have to get my family into U2??

It's that dang frenzy that catches you. LOL. I admit I don't have it as bad as last tour, so we'll see what happens. I will try to, but if I don't I wont be devastated. (I say now...) :shifty:

I'm so glad you and Sarah got both the TO shows so far. :applaud:

Hi, zooey. I see that you're an old school member, so welcome back to the crazy house!

Yep, Comet. Mr ex-Jeeves and me were involved in a very low key alt-country/folk group in our twenties. I did a little guitar and backing vocals and a lot of tour-managing and PR stuff, but I stepped out after my second jeevie was born. I'm really shocked that they included me in the final division, since they went on for quite a while after that.

Whoa! People!!! Fun to read everyone has been getting tickets and hatching some plot. Scheming some scheme , Oh Yeah.

Testing out the mobile app. Comet, the plan for the 30th is to NOT camp out - line up so maybe we can all have lunch/ dinner even I you don't have tix to the show.

WILD!!!!!
Did you see we got a staffie!? Totally thought of you

Ooh ok maybe! I'm hoping to actually be in LA because I have tix to the shows... but the way I hear people talking, at this point I don't even feel confident I'll get 2 more for the 26th. I guess I just have to see what happens on Monday before I start really freaking out. HA.
Like I said, this tour I won't be devastated if I don't see a bunch of shows, but I WILL feel bad if I can't even get my kids into one show. AND getting to see all my U2 friends too. Seems like everyone is doing the weekend show. I don't know why I didn't grab those first.

I already booked the week of the LA shows off before the tour was announced (my birthday week was actually still available when it came to my turn for vacation booking and my birthday is the day before LA1) and I'm pondering doing a show/shows there... plus I've never been to LA. If I go I'd likely do RZ for night 1 as a present to myself.

First priority on Monday is Montreal though.

That would be cool. :D

When is the general sale starting?
Tommorrow? If its not on the same time as the European sale. I'll be glad to pitch in for you and help you conquer some tickets for your kids.
I have monday is the start of my qeekend  Comes in handy for once.

Same here! I loved all the space stuff. I'm a nerd for all that black holes and time and space stuff.

Me too! I did get completely confused at some point, so seeing it again might help. (But probably not, lol.)

Eee staffie! :cute:

Ali, I've heard interstellar is awesome. I want to see it

You absolutely should. It's a long film but I hardly noticed.
