Larry speaks about new album

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
For me, Stateless is definitely top 10, maybe top 5 for the decade. Obviously it would have been a poor fit for ATYCLB, but I wish U2 would acknowledge the existence of it at least.

Stateless and The Ground Beneath Her Feet are easily top 5 of the 2000s for me, they sit proudly amongst the best songs of the band's career.

The live setlist thread the night they played it was probably the biggest explosion I've ever seen on Interference.

Haha I'll bet!

Hmmm, I want to listen to this live version now. Must search on youtube. I remember liking the original song whenever it leaked. Haven't listened to it in ages though.

they played Flower Child at the Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein gig?!?!?!? oh my GOD!!!!!!1111

Can anybody post the Knustmuseum setlist? I remember I was late to that party, and the jig was up by the time I started reading.

Imagining No Line with a Highway to Hell snippet is really funny now that we've actually heard No Line.

 Those are fan-written U2 set lists for you!

I wasn't even around back then, but I knew this sh*t was fake as soon as I looked at the "setlist" and saw it had them playing Mofo. The whole thing is like The Hive's wet dream.

I guess Axver, et.al. didn't have the balls to put Acrobat in there, because then the cat would definitely be out of the bag.

I would like to think that, if I had been a participant in that thread, I would have known just from the fact that the concert was supposedly for a "save the whalers" benefit at three in the morning (or something) in a double-landlocked state that it was bogus, regardless of the setlist.

Levitate if finished could have been much better than a number of ATYCLB tracks, and while as it is the MDH tracks wouldn't have fit too well at the very least The Ground Beneath Her Feet should have been the official closer.

Stateless

Bono, Adam and Edge were at Guggi's exhibition in Dublin yesterday, together with Brian Burton aka Danger Mouse. Either they came straight out of the recording studio or went to the studio afterwards. Might be wishful thinking, but AT LEAST we know they're in the same city and, since U2 have been in their hometown without longer interruptions for quite some time now, seem to be really working.

To summarize:
Edge- New Album Late Summer
Larry- New Album September
Paul- New Album in 2013
Bono- 6 songs.... might take 10 years....

If I had to bet, I'd bet on somewhere between September and November. Edge, Larry, and Paul have seemed fairly serious in what they've said about the album, while Bono said a lot of nothing in a very Bono-ish way.

No. None of those factors, not even the Beatles snippet in every goddamn song, would have definitively let discerning readers with even an iota of comprehension or perceptive abilities know it was a fake.

Only the inclusion of Acrobat and/or Mofo.

Now it seems everything is up to ADAM who's been the only one so far to not comment on the album, the progress they're making in the studio or the title or release date.

But I think he's too busy with his hair these days :shifty:

Single in september, album in november.

You're probably right, since it's all about the Benjamins Christmas sales...

I'd prefer single in June, album in September!

...But this would be nice.

I'm just glad that they're actually talking about it and that they're saying "this year" instead of "next year" or "getting lost in the music with no album in mind." :crack:

I probably would've, if I were AWAKE. Seeing as it's in my timezone, I was quite deeply asleep.. as were all the other European Interferencers. That could've rung a bell with anyone... yet it didn't.
