I will try to this weekend but I'm going to be away from my computer with all my 'other' boyfriends. Granted, U2 can still be in the Spank Bank. But this is for everyone that...um...inspires us.
 
Hi!

Summer has arrived in Seattle. Near or above 80 for the foreseeable future. They even said maybe 87 on Sunday, and while that means my apartment will be unbearable, I am so happy it's finally here.
 
Don't get me wrong - I'm very happy we're not suffering in the same heat wave as most of the rest of the country. While some days I whine that I miss feeling actual heat or humidity (no, really!), I know after a day or two of it, I'd be whining that it was too hot. Ha.

The sun is intense here when you're in it, but you go into the shade, and get chilly. I miss going out in the morning or at night without a sweater/jacket.

I wasn't implying that you were complaining. :D All I do from May to November is complain about how hot and sunny it is here! Sweaters? What are those?
 
Nah, it was a general comment, because I feel guilty bitching about the lack of heat when everyone else is sweltering. :wink:

Oh man. The high here today was/is 35C/95F - with humidity, 42C/108F.

The other day, the air temperature was a few degrees cooler, but the humidity reading made it feel like 45C/113F.

SO GROSS.

I talked to one of my clients in Vancouver today, and he was so happy it was going to be warmer out there this weekend, but said that our temps would kill him. Then he told me to have a "wicked weekend." Agency hipster kids. :cute: :lol:

Cider o'clock. More strawberry rhubarb. My god that stuff is good. :drool: Not sweet at all, just really refreshing.

First week of work is done! Today was a LOT slower. That will change next week, though!

Yay for sun!!!! I'm SO unbelievably excited for the heat. It's a perfect temperature outside right now, but it's gonna be a scorcher this weekend. I plan on lounging in my back yard as much as possible. )

Right now I'm killing time at the library. I'm going to a food and wine event tonight, so I didn't want to go home for a short while, only to have to turn around and come right back so quickly. I've got a few books now, and am going to find a patio somewhere and enjoy the sun until it's time for the event. :)
 
Glad things are going well for you work-wise, and that you have good weather! :hug:

My poor a/c is no match for this weather. :( I think it's 26 or 27 in here right now, which is better than it is outside, but still uncomfortable unless you're sitting in front of a fan. Oh well, it's supposed to improve over the next few days.
 
Adam has been in court off and on for the last little while since his former personal assistant was on trial for embezzling from him - she got 7 years IIRC.

I'd rather be in that nice airconditioned hotel in Montreal with you girls right now instead of sweating my ass off here in TO! :lol: Of course that makes the fact that I'm going to Vegas next week a little insane... :wink: Dry heat. Air conditioned casinos/tourist places/bars/shows. Okay, I feel better now *g*
 
Yeah, it's hot here today, too. Think it got a degree or two away from 100. I know our heat index was in the 100s.

But we have a slight cooldown coming! Our highs are supposed to begin getting back into the low to mid 80s starting this weekend, and our lows'll be back in the 60s :hyper:! I'll take that, that's fine.

Think I'm definitely going to get my hair cut this weekend, though. Helpful in the warm weather and it's just time for a trim anyway.

I was wondering if that "beautiful men" thread would be resurrected at any point again, I'm all for bringing that back and posting and talking about other hot men that aren't members of U2 :D.

(Though I like the idea of calling it a "spank bank" :giggle:)
 
I'm tipsy plus one, meaning I've just gone one beyond my limit. I also invited Bri here, because 140 characters sucks donkey balls. So, I will wait patiently.

If it were a little cooler in here, I'd probably go to bed, rather than keep drinking. But yay, excuse for drinking more. I guess. ;)

There is this one guy at work who has suddenly gotten very friendly toward me. He's the manager of another department that I sometimes have to bring into my work. He's very...gruff and not very communicative. Till lately. He seems all eager to talk to me now! Even a about personal, non-work things! And I'm all "wtf??" :lol:

Thanks!! :) It's so great. I'm really excited. I'm not so intimidated any more, so that's good.

So my foodie/beer/wine event wasn't what I'd expected. :sigh: There was good stuff there, but I ended up leaving early.

Oh well, more time to drink my own booze at home! :lol:

Maybe we should make good on it! On your week off, perhaps try and meet up...someplace in the Hammer as it's sorta in between??

And I'm mostly good. Frankly, there's not been a lot of change on this front. I may be in some sort of limbo ....maybe the higgs boson got me. :hmm: Just wrapped up an insane month of tutoring the other week, with the end of the school year. Now I've been using the spare time to do some organizing, catch up on some reading that had piled up (I had a million tabs of articles I've been meaning to get to....for months. lol )

How's your neck of the woods? How are the kitties?

Also, sorry to hear about the fall. Ouchie! I do that sort of stupid thing all the time. On more than one occasion, I've taken a corner too sharp and my belt loop has gotten caught on a door. :FAIL:
 
Since you seem to be so slow :rolleyes: :wink: yeah, we have this program at work that runs from August till approximately March that they always hire data entry people for. I thought she'd probably stay in Waterloo and find a job for the next year, but she said she wanted to come home, and asked me if my place was hiring. I told her about this one program (my work bff runs it, and I'm good friends also with the manager that hires people for it) nd she said it would be perfect for her. I talked to the manager a week ago, and he seemed as if he'd hire her for sure, so we submitted her resume.

It's data entry, boring as fuck, but the manager told me he would accommodate any days off she'd need for school work, or adjust her hours to suit her, if she's a good worker.

So, the current challenge is to find her a room in this house before August. :happy:
