They do look similar although the U2 ones with the box set have 'The Fly' on the arm. 'theflyshades.com' is out of stock which suggests that maybe they did make them.

its very sugestive they made a deal: flyshades.com made the glasses, but nevermore sell them in the website. and that stuff viking 1973 is flyshades.com trademark?
Right now their website is under construction, it seems they are making it to look fancier. I checked the site earlier this week and they were selling shades then for 60 Euros. I hope "The Fly" tag is only on the über-set glasses because I'm not interested in those tags. I think the "1992" model is still called Viking 1973 though.
They sell a replica of the Bolle Lunasport too for the same price.

Take a close look to "From the sky down" documentary.
2 specific glasses :
- Rehearsal in Winnipeg : Bman is wearing the 9592 but with brown glasses and clear gold arms (the model you can still buy)
- Bono talking of Achtung Baby : Bvlgari 8025 : close to 732/87 but with glossy black arms and clearer lenses...
The Glasses in the Uber Deluxe Box Set are the same one than "theflyshades" + the "The Fly" Logo on the right arm. Too big to be wore but comfy and classy.

Hello, i just got the uber deluxe a few hours ago and already my sister broke the fly shades!!! So i was wondering, can u still call the people at U2.com and have them send u a pair?thats why little sister are a paying in the ass. im sorry man. try send emails or calling u2.com.

I guess your little sis is to young to pay but it would be cheaper to buy new glasses from TheFlyShades.com. I'm not sure if it's the exact same glasses as in the Über-box though.

I don't mind ridiculous prices when it's for a good cause but I'm a bit puzzled about this trust fund. The money goes to the family, sad and all that they lost him, but do they really need the money?

and finally the 9592 Bono wears in "From the Sky Down" documentary !

Yes Nathan... Many colors but the problem is that they do not pop up so often on eBay + you cannot find them anymore on the web... I think it's a question of months but still, they are difficult to find.
Congrats for your new pairs. I like the 191. What is the color code ? And the blue 226, I miss on pair on eBay a few weeks ago because I was short in cash...

OMG, I have just bought the same 8025 with red arms and they are fantastic. $5,650.00 is an awful lot of money for a pair of sunglasses :O
