Pierce definitely made up for the unfortunate singing by being really hot in general.

Musicals are goofy, but I usually love them. You just have to have that "suspension of disbelief" going on in full force!

Oh, he does certainly. No matter how much older he's become, he's still definitely very very very hot.

I'm afraid I lack that. I can't do anything like that myself either, I can't dance because I freeze on the spot unable to do anything. I just have major brakes that ruin everything, and I can't set them free. I guess that's why I can't fully enjoy these movies... or musicals in general.
I volunteer to "quick change" either Bono or Edge in any ballet the guys dance in!:drool::lol:

job perks!!!:lol::applaud:

BOTH Bono and Edge? :tsk: Greedy greedy. You can obviously only take care of one. :shifty: I'll take Bono off your hands then...

lol that was interesting. My boss just called asking about work today, because I had a major product change in frozen snacks. He asked how far I was, becuase they'd have to continue the rest tomorrow. Was totally shocked when I told him I was already done. They usually set a standard amount of time for that, but it's always way too much for me. You get around an hour per meter, but I'm usually done within 20 minutes.

WOW - those are gorgeous photos, comet! :eek:hmy : :love :

I love ballet so much. I wanted to be a dancer when I was a little girl, but I don't remember what happened to stop that. I probably found something else that interested me more. :lol : I know I did a lot of sports/dance/gymnastics and stuff when I was young - I never stuck to anything (except running) for very long. :lol : :reject :

Holy shit totally agree. Comet, those pics are stunning. Your daughter looks beautiful in the ones posted of there aswell.

Thora. I did ballet as a toddler. I quit when I was 3 as the teacher left and I HATED the new one. Even as a 3 year old I knew my own mind. :lmao: I did Taekwondo for a while from ages 7/8-10/11 and got to a Blue belt/Blue belt red tag. Was only a few belts of a junior black belt but it clashed with the gymnastics lessons I wants to do. I did the Gymnastics lessons from about 10/11 for a year. The coach was evil so my mum pulled me out of the lessons. :sigh::lol: I also did swimming as a kid up until I was 9 but quit as I'd done every swimming badge/award possible at that point and didn't see the point of doing 5 years of lessons to get my lifesaving award which was next. ( you had to be about 14 for that. )

So I didn't stick at stuff for long either. :reject::lol:

I LOVE your necklace.

:grumpy : What am I doing in your sig? Wait, when did I even type that? was that last night? :scratch :

:lmao: You should go back and read. They're awesome posts.

My first thought? :uhoh : B, where's that right hand of yours?

:jealous::drool:

Cori yay at talking to the guy. :hi5:

Edgeitarian...
when i was around 9 or so my parents started to take me & my sister to the ballet ...... men in tights was perfectly natural to us.

I did go through a "eeeww, laughing at" phase of male ballet students ( through my Art & Music HSschool ) equal "too gay" BUT.....
that was back before Stonewall and the rise of the Gay Rights Movement...... when various levels of being anti-gay even in a city like NYC were more prevalent.

ANd then I got over that.

sorry, i can't find any more suitable word really. i just find them odd! always have, always will! i know this costume has historical roots and all, but maybe it's just the form of classical ballet, as i said, i'm not a big fan of it  i don't find it that odd in contemporary dance... i visit those pretty often!
sorry, but i just think i'm entitled to my opinion! and i don't mind you guys liking men in tights :)

and just for the record - i have nothing against gay people!!! i know several and my best friend is one (oh, right, i shouldn't be calling him like that anymore, since our ways now seem to have parted after he came out of the closet and discovered himself new acquaintances in that world, and i was forgot into background though i supported him all the way, but i just couldn't party and meet with his new friends 24/7 when i myself got pretty sick for a pretty long time. so step-by-step we grew apart and i was left best-friendless.... oh now, rippin' the stitches...)

now, carry on with men in tights if you wish, i'll be just :silent: :)
and the usual perving (may not shut up on this...:))

nice pictures, Comet!!!

this men in tights thing is way too... gay(and unfortunately most of the male ballet dancer probably are too... or this could just be a myth )
I'm not a very big ballet fan though, but i occasionally still pop by to see one :)

but talking about dance - Michael Flatley is the god of it! i've spent days looking him dancing... :shifty:

and more on the subject of dance - our local Dancing With The Stars just had ISHFWILF as a background song for one of the pairs. But it was some odd latin version in spanish...

Bono does a narple grab?? who's that anyway? a fan??

Can we refrain from making unnecessary assumptions? My son is a dancer.

Oooh you did Taekwondo? :D Sounds like fun! My sister did Gymnastics, and I tried about one lesson. Sucked so bad at it that I never came back!

:uhoh: I'm not sure I want to read all those posts while cringing at my own typing. Grammar nazis get owned by alcohol! I just couldn't be arsed to backspace every frickin word!

 I love musicals. My cousin was obsessed with Oliver and Sound of Music growing up so I grew up on those.

Speaking of Ballet Kat and myself are going to see The Ballet at the theatre she works in in January. Its a Russian company. Should be fun, my first time. :hyper:

I like how my musical theatre prof. explained it in grad school. He said something like "the characters are feeling such strong emotions that they can no longer express them in words and HAVE to use song"

That makes sense I guess. :)

I'd help the U2 boys change into/out of their tights. :shifty: Though I'm not willing to ask Larry if he's up for it. Can you imagine the FOAD look you'd get? :shifty::lmao:

 Oh hell, the tights would spontaneously combust from that look!

Twinz! :hi5:  I know I did ballet, jazz, figure skating, swimming, track and field, gymnastics, and many more I'm sure. My poor parents, having to deal with me changing my mind all the time. :reject:

And that's not even including all the piano/choir/acting stuff I did!

Phoebe just peed on my purse! :scream:

OH NO!!

:larry:: Get yer f*cking hands off my tights!

:giggle:

Oh, and Michael Flatley as a sexy beast? I never saw that, although I love his dancing. I got tix for my son and I to go see Savion Glover this Saturday :hyper: tappa-tappa-tappa!

:lmao: oh guys I just got what you meant. Pierce is singing his solo song now. Oh this is pretty... bad. :giggle: But still it's Pierce Brosnan. He's hot.

Can we refrain from making unnecessary assumptions? My son is a dancer.

Your son dances? I didn't know this. What sort of dancing does he do? :D

Alot of dancers, ice or ballroom that I know of are actually married. They just like dancing I guess.

Yeah I did it for a little while. Only problem was I was so light I had to do tournaments with the kids below my age group. :lmao::reject: Kinda humilating having to compete against kids alot younger than you.

I loved gym and the Taekwondo. Both of them were awesome. I also did trampolining while at my grandparents one summer. There were no lessons locally though when I got home.:lol:

But that's the fun part, the cringing. Or is that just me. :shifty::lol:

:yuck: Not good. Hope its machine washable. Dump as much soap in as possible, hope that helps. :uhoh:

She also peed in Tom's truck last night, but that was because she was nervous. She isn't as outgoing as she used to be, like when you came to visit. :(

Like I said, I'm just worried she's not feeling well. :uhoh:

Well it can also be your advantage, as you're older so more technically skilled. :D

Trampolining sounds like fun. :uhoh: Though I'd better not do such sports, I'd break my neck within a fewy days!

 I am the only one who doesn't like the cringe parts!
