My first thought? :uhoh: B, where's that right hand of yours?

What are you having? Your chicken dish you talked about before? :D
Lazy morning sounds good.

Yeah, I think it's the one I mentioned the other day. :) It's a Mexican chicken dish, so it has about 5 chicken breasts and loads of other stuff in it. The chicken just falls apart once it's ready, and it's incredible. I eat it with guacamole and lime nacho chips. It's a lot of food, so it will last a long time. I'll probably end up freezing a good half of it and saving it for days when I'm too lazy to cook anything. :)

Ah right, that sounds good. Though you have lime nachos over there? I waaaant!

I'm sure bc can give a better response to that, but while there are some pieces that call for the men to have pants as part of the costume, I think the typical male ballet outfit is the tights and codpiece (or whatever you call it).

Thora, that sounds right up my alley. Could I get a copy of that recipe, please?

Sure!

1 can cream of chicken soup
8 oz sour cream
salsa
1 packet taco seasoning
cheese dip (or shredded cheese)
4 chicken breasts
1 can black beans
1 can green chiles

Pretty simple! I don't have quantities for the salsa & cheese - I just throw in whatever amount looks good. It generally cooks on low for about 7 hours. My crock pot is a bit whacked, so even on the low setting it cooks a bit faster than that, so I have to keep an eye on it after 3-4 hours. It's kinda frustrating that I can't just turn it on and forget about it, but I guess you can't expect a cheap-o crock pot to work the way it's supposed to. I generally do my crock pot cooking on the weekends when I can be at home all day in case it cooks fast. :)

Awesome, thanks!

Do all the ingredients go into the crock pot at once? Do any of those go in at the end, like the sour cream or cheese? Do you lay the chicken breasts on top and then shred them before mixing them up when done cooking?

Sounds like it would be great in burritos or as a dip.

You're welcome! :)

Yup, I cook it all together at the same time. I usually mix up all the sauce fixings in the crock pot first, then mix in the chicken breasts whole. You shred the chicken at the end - it would cook much faster if you shredded the chicken before cooking.

Yeah, it's fantastic in so many forms. I've even put it on bread and then put it in the oven for a bit to toast it up.

Pretty pics Comet! Nice costumes, though, aren't the boys supposed to wear pants? :uhoh:

Runs in to say thanks you guys! (Thora and Cori too!) And yeah I've spent years backstage helping the dancers with quick changes too. I've had to dress plenty of very sweaty, very muscular, very nekid men... usually in the dark in cramped quarters too. Aww the hazards of the job.

Well that sounds like a job I could live with! :shifty: Maybe we should get the U2 boys to do ballet some day...

Awesome, thanks! I might try that next weekend.

This is a picture of a batch of it that I made last December with the chips on bottom and my home-made guac on top:

 Old DUTCH food? Awesome, and I've never heard of it. :giggle:

It looks really good. :shifty: Must put it on the list for when I get to Canada someday.

 I thought you'd get a kick out of the name! I think they sell these in the States too. The flavour is fantastic, and really adds a lot of oomph to Mexican dishes.

nice pictures, Comet!!!

What, you've never seen male ballet dancers in their tights, with all that muscle definition and ... uh.... codpiece action? Good stuff.

this men in tights thing is way too... gay(and unfortunately most of the male ballet dancer probably are too... or this could just be a myth )
I'm not a very big ballet fan though, but i occasionally still pop by to see one :)

but talking about dance - Michael Flatley is the god of it! i've spent days looking him dancing... :shifty:

and more on the subject of dance - our local Dancing With The Stars just had ISHFWILF as a background song for one of the pairs. But it was some odd latin version in spanish...

B, where's that right hand of yours?

Bono does a narple grab?? who's that anyway? a fan??

 Chocolate mousse with molten chocolate ice cream is so good. We had ice cream last night but no room in the freezer, so what wasn't finished was put in the fridge. Now it's awesome chocolate sauce extraordinaire.

Anyone want some? I still have plenty left! This is so bloody unhealthy!

:wave::wave::wave::wave:

The BIG NYC Marathon is still going on! :applaud::applaud:

Really? I thought he was sooooo bad in Mamma Mia. I felt bad for him - he sounded like he was trying so hard!

Yeah, I'm watching the NYC marathon. It's cool to watch. I'll never be as good as these people at the front of the packs, but it's something to aspire to complete some day. :)

Really? I thought he was sooooo bad in Mamma Mia. I felt bad for him - he sounded like he was trying so hard!

Me too! I was cringing every time he sang! :uhoh:

Well I expected total shit from him. He has so not a singing voice. But it's not even half bad!
The whole movie is a bit cringy for me though, I'm not that fond of musical movies in general..

I saw the musical itself in Vegas some years back, and it was just great silly fun. The movie was silly fun, but not as good as the musical, although the presence of Colin Firth is never a bad thing. I love Christine Baranski, too.

It also helps if you love ABBA.

Edgeitarian...
when i was around 9 or so my parents started to take me & my sister to the ballet ...... men in tights was perfectly natural to us.

I did go through a "eeeww, laughing at" phase of male ballet students ( through my Art & Music HSschool ) equal "too gay" BUT.....
that was back before Stonewall and the rise of the Gay Rights Movement...... when various levels of being anti-gay even in a city like NYC were more prevalent.

ANd then I got over that.

I like Abba, sure. But just musical movies in general have those moments where they suddenly start dancing and singing out of nowhere. That just weirds me out, because it's NEVER gonna happen like that IRL. Though ofcourse, movies in general are fake, but still.

 I'll just keep starin' at Pierce then.
