for example: from time to time I still see HTDAAB BOXSET here and there and it's well over 4 years after release, on the other hand the JT BOX dissapeared after a few months

My Amazon pre-order for the deluxe box still says it's gonna ship on March 9...if it stays that way by Tuesday AM I may just buy it from Best Buy and cancel Amazon - supposed to be $2 cheaper at Best Buy and I can forego buying the standard CD as well because of no wait.

I would carefully consider buying the boxset if you are on the fence about it.

Linear on DVD is probably something which will be watched a couple of times, then shelved. The poster is fairly dull (and folded). The book is nice but mainly photos and an interview you can read elsewhere. The album is just the digipack.

Good for collectors/sentimental value but at £45 I would have been annoyed I had invested in it.

I just called my local Best Buy. They will have "plenty" of copies of the box set on Tues morning $59.95.

Well that's even better than the circular I saw - it was $64.95 there. I'm not at 100% mobility currently but I will definitely try to get to Best Buy Tuesday - I'd cancel Amazon right now but the closest Best Buy I can get to doesn't always have a full selection of music.

I'd suggest calling them to see if they will have it. Mine checked their computer and said they were scheduled to have a lot of them available that morning at that price. Hopefully the computer is correct! They told me unfortunately they can't place a copy on hold but they said there's no need they will have plenty. Maybe yours will give you some info if you call.

The thing that's so great about Amazon is they don't charge sales tax or shipping. So depending on where you live (in CA the sales tax is 8.75 percent) it is a great deal. And I do the Amazon Prime thing so it's free two-day shipping. Best Buy will charge you tax so it will actually cost you more.

No, I do not work for Amazon. I just buy everything there. And just FYI, I pre-ordered the Bomb box set last time from Best Buy and they held the wrong one and screwed me over royally when they ran out. I waited to talk to a manager for 45 minutes, they never showed up, I picked up a regular edition of the CD and walked out with it. My first shoplifting since I was 13. Then I bought the Bomb box set from Amazon.

Just got the boxset, its GORGEOUS!!! Its been put together so lovingly. Can't wait to get stuck in.

All around my local town centre U2 were blasting out of shops. not only the music stores but random bookshops too, it was great.

Will be listening tonight. For the first time.

Still waiting for my boxset from Amazon. I really wanted it by today as I`m off on hols in the early hours tomorrow. I have downloaded the album off itunes tough and yes the film Linear is ipod compatible

The boxset is really wonderful. Best artwork since Achtung Baby.

The CD slipcase has artwork derived from Linear, very tasteful.

The magazine has more horizon pictures together with very nice studio photography, and brief interviews with each band member (some interesting info in there about the origin of Fez-Being born, etc...)

The DVD slipcase has the Corbijn Linear text that was online not long ago.

The whole thing is clearly a labour of love, I'm very happy.
