Mmm, fair enough. I need to take a trip out to the Dandenongs or something to really play around with the camera for a day...

If you wouldn't mind my company, I'd love to tag along. Been out that way once in 2007 and loved it - just did Puffing Billy and visited ... I think it's William Ricketts Sanctuary or something like that. Both SuperWin for photography.

Assover, what did you think of the song? and U-Wen?

Not a bad track - some interesting stuff, and it's nice to see U2 trying out some things that are new for them. Bono's lyrics seem a bit less ridiculous once the song starts to sink in, though I still can't stand "sexy boots". Probably not a song I'll play a terrible lot in future, but I certainly don't mind listening to it and I think it bodes well for the album.

I'd agree that Electrical Storm is the superior song, though.

Is Cole Creek still open? We did Puffing Billy back in the... 80s, maybe? back when the train rattled along and you could actually hang out the window and potentially fall off the train into a ravine which must have been over 50 metres down. I'm assuming it's safer now. :D

Hmm, nice. I was surprised at how it didn't make me cringe. Pleased.

I don't like Electrical Storm though. From what I remember of it, it sounds like the equivalent of vocal constipation.

Sure, if I ever head down that way I'll let you know.

Hah, I was amazed when I did the trip to see people just sitting on the sides of wagons, their feet dangling over the side of the train as it crossed numerous bridges. I was thinking "shit, what if somebody slipped?" I'm amazed safety regulations haven't prohibited that. But I did the trip from the comfort of the dining car, since we did the lunch train. Great decision too.

I liked it. Adam and Larry on steroids. Good layering. Bodes well, and will be interesting to see how they play it live.

Adam with an effects pedal. Music rocks, lyrics are a bit hazy in the middle.

Lyrics? What lyrics? I only heard rambling.

The bridge is amazing amazing amazing, though. Power drumming!

Yeah.

Fast Cars. Now there's a lyric. And some fucking badass drums!
Can't find anything bad to say about the drums on GOYB. Seems the rhythm section's got it together and polished it for this one.

Anyone else notice that U2 seem to be advertising for sunglasses companies a lot with their album covers recently?

Should I just get AIM now, then?

It's a cool IM, I've been using it exclusively since 2005. Though to be fair, I use AIM 5.9 ... the latest version doesn't look so good to me. Could just be that I'm extremely used to 5.9 though.
