Friends ,

What do you think is the best thing U2 has released this year?

Mine`s easy , it`s the release of the UABRS dvd:drool:
( runner-up though...October Remaster , amazing sound )

Now what`s yours?

Cheers and already Best Wishes ,

Red Rocks is the best thing they've released this entire DECADE.

U23D was best, inovative and different and not stuck in 1984 like most of this forum.

The remasters were very well done and it is nice to hear the music with the sounds that they were meant to be heard in. Good to see the old material on DVD but I am all for new material.

But don't you think ATYCLB came close, especially the brilliant In A Little While and Stuck In A Moment?

Oh yes, and there was the stunning lyrical brilliance of Vertigo on HTDAAB too.

As far as U2's music goes, I do not see being stuck in 1984 as being even remotely a bad thing.

The remaster of Boy! Finally a decent sound quality on the pre-boy singles as:applaud::applaud: the bonus!

Agreed.

U2 3D by far, was my second favorite thing I saw at the theaters this year, after the Dark Knight!

U23D. It was fun. It was great going to the movie theater with fellow 30 something U2 fans that were friends and seeing it that night.

I was only 11 in 1988 so I didn't have the pleasure of going to that movie in a theater with other 11 year old U2 fans at the time when Rattle and Hum came out.

U23D for sure, was amazing from the first second, The Fly was mouthwatering.

Ah, I was wondering if there was another cinema showing it. Cool, I didn't get to see it, but I don't live far away from Marion. Maybe if it makes a return...

It took me a while to understand that Marion didn't actually have IMAX, I think they used to have an IMAX theatre in the city, but got rid of it I think. So just Marion.

Red Rocks definitely. The deluxe remasters are all fucking GORGEOUS. got them all in their special little 1980-1983 box on my shelf. great stuff. So exciting opening Boy and October and listening to them while reading through those books, then came the other two. Red Rocks DVD is probably the best of them all though. Never thought it would happen.
