yeah, i have a friend who works at t-mobile (wireless company here, not sure if they're over there) and he told me about it. i'm kinda psyched, they've been selling some pretty lame phones as of late which is making me contemplating switching to another carrier even though i've been with them nearly six years and love them.

i would, but i do NOT want to switch to AT&T. maybe they're better now post-merger, but i was with cingular for a few years and i hated them. really hated them. i realized i was out of contract and switched to t-mobile. plus everyone keeps saying the iphones are plagued with problems. i was hoping the big announcement would be they were selling the iphone too or something similar.

nope, they designed the phones so they're locked. you can only use them with AT&T. soon after their release someone did hack it for t-mobile, however you can't update the phone at all if you hack it, and i've heard for the new iphones they're unhackable. i really hate when phones are exclusive to one carrier.
yeah, i know. you can technically do that for 99% of the phones out there, but you pay out the ass for buying the phone outright. a phone that'd cost $100 with a contract would be $300 or something with no contract. but the iphone is locked so you can't use it with anyone else. a lot of verizon phones are like that too, locked so you can't use them anywhere else.Wow, I have honestly never heard of phones being locked to one carrier. it's to stop google bots from indexing it, i believe. there's a ton of extra traffic when it was visible to guests, but i forget why that was disabled. i can't remember if trolls were joining or what the reason was. i think zoo confessionals is like that too, if it is it's because of the personal nature of posts and stuff.
