A nice set of plans.....

Fri.my sis & I are going to see WALL-E :cute:. Then we'll have some dinner. After that the Macy's Fireworks!!!:hyper::love::hyper:

If I'm up to it thurs night going down to Coney Island for THEIR special Fireworks.

Then staying over my sis's house so we can get an early bus out to NJ for one of our aunts (my fav) 90th birthday! They loved each other very much. She was the only person my momm absolutley wanted to see before she died. (besides) us.

The only bittersweet thing is my mom was part of a five kid family - 3 brothers & 2 sisters. This aunt is my mom's sister.
Now mom would not have been able to travel to the party, but what they had planned to do was one of our cousins would have drove her sis (their mom) into the NYC area to the Nursing Home she lived in. They have a quite nice medium size cafe/restaurant on the premises. They would have gone there to celebrate.:sigh:

So while she wouldn't have been there any way....it's gonna hang over my head from time to time during the day because of the now totally different awful reason she's not there.

I have to go make a a nice card for her. I'm trying to come up with a nice little gift i can whip up for her.

Sun? don't know yet...may not be such fun (TOO HOT, :madspit: TOO HUMID) weather.
I'd love to take some crochet into one of the parks. :happy: At least I'll have alotof weeks ahead to be able to do that at some points. :D
 
The next few holidays are probably going to be really hard. Don't be hard on yourself - allow yourself to grieve. But allow yourself to enjoy the beauty/fun of the events too. Coney Island is one of those places I've always wanted to visit.

Then I probably won't be back till monday :( -unless I can figure out a little extra $ for like sun nite at the NEt Cafe (most of my extra $ is already spoken for).

well you'll just have to visit it SOMEday...unless they do go ahead, and turn it into this other 24 entertainment palce that will not have the sort of slightly rundown but affordable to most people charm. Tjis new delevlopement might wipe most of that out. :madspit:

Oh, no ~~zu..... quite a good amount of the time I AM able to really get into my fun & intersting stuff. :yes:

but when things remind me ( alot of things b/c she had SO many interests that we both loved) that she's gone & I can't share them anymore with her....then the misery and waterworks often start up.
And sometimes it's my train of though veers there etc....

I know it's gonna be rather difficult off & on for the next year or so, esp holidays/ our & her B-Days.....but I am/ there are many htings I'm looking foward to seeing/doing/creating and experiencing.

but *thnaks* for the reminder, b/c I know it's one way of showing that you care. :hug:
